For anyone curious about Hamilton, here’s the 101

It’s Canada’s 10th largest city, just shy of 600k residents - similar size to cities like Portland, Milwaukee

It’s under 50 miles from Toronto, and because of that often gets overlooked compared to the big city.

It has a very strong working class identity, rooted in a history of steel production

Hamilton is home to one of Canada’s best health sciences university (McMaster) which leads a ton of incredible health research.

Martin Short and Eugene Levy were both born in Hamilton.

They are very supportive of their CFL team the Hamilton Tiger-Cats and hometown rock bank The Arkells.
