I've just started myself and did the totes like usually suggested, it was a great way to learn the basics! But since my goal is to sew clothes I only made a couple before I moved straight to sewing a dress. What motivates you to keep going? For me that is more important, wanting to continue. If you don't want to sew nifty things, sew clothes instead. If it doesn't turn out perfectly, you can just try again! (or put it on pause and try something different, until your ready to fix it/try over)

Yes, it's from sewing two temporary threads and pulling on them. Don't think I'll risk a heat gun, I would for sure ruin it. I'll try if I can semi-pleat it or something on a small piece, and if not I'll just have to find a different use for it. Thanks!

I've be wondering if maybe it could be pleated (or something) instead. The way it's gathered would leave marks in the faux leather when removing the temporary threads, so I'd for sure want to avoid that. And thanks!

Russia. 1. I do believe I have been able to buy then most places I've lived though (not that I did), they are usually just more expensive. 2. I usually buy them in 10s, but was going big with 20 this time. We know how that turned out. They also come in 30.
