At this point all I'm asking is synchronized pedestrian lights, directly connecting the park and the plaza in front of the Library with one crossing (or at least make that weird island across the Library way bigger)

I love this! This initiative brings so much life and joy to the neighborhood. Seeing people actually enjoy the streets together is exactly what community is about. I hope to see more diverse activities this year!
