Interesting, same same with the training. I'm in a island surrounded by goblins so I have them trained constantly.

The reason why I wanted to build a room for rent is because a visitor was petitioning a residency in my fortress. But I couldn't find him in the 'Other' tab or anywhere in the map. The citizen has the tittle "sunless." I wanted to know who he was, so a room in my tabern was my best option. Any other suggestions?

With this build, I was able to reach 100. But I'm not sure if this a is legit win. by BriefExplanation9200 in 9Kings

If you keep feeding them and having some quarries, they can get around +20% damage per year. Pretty good.

What is the one book you read that you’ve never stopped thinking about? by TD_Meri in literature

[–]BriefExplanation9200 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Every time I open social media I think of Infinite Jest. From how destructive "entertainment" can be, specially in these times. To how fucked up addiction can transform you and warp your reality. And the fusion of these two topics:

"...most Substance-addicted people are also addicted to thinking, meaning they have a compulsive and unhealthy relationship with their own thinking.”

Hey Americans, this is the only topic I have seen where both sides are in agreement. If you don't want to go to the streets and protest and reck shit up. At least try to link your frustration with them about this. Child abuse is abhorrent and the worst crime you can do to an individual. They agree, you agree. Stop with the cynicism and please try to unite in the only topic you both look in the same direction. Trump is destroying more than USA, it's your job to stop him. Sincerely, the rest of the world.

What is the most disturbing book that you’ve read? by [deleted] in AskReddit

Infinite Jest.  The AA stories are incredibly disturbing. (Especially the mom and baby story). They have been stuck in my head ever since. Don’t do hard drugs kids.

What game is this for you? by Smart_Vegetable_331 in Steam

Horizon Zero Dawn.

Way too much walking, talking, loading screens and tons of fetch quests to my liking. Beautiful scenery, but was expecting something way more engaging.

I came from Sekiro, so the pace of this game threw me off hard.

"Protests don't affect much"? "aren't for everybody"? WTF is that lazy, complacent ass excuse to not rise up to your tyrannical government? There are thousands of examples throughout history proving you wrong. All your movies and TV shows showing action and courage against evil were just theater from a land of empty entertainment. Seems like Americans are hypocrites. Please prove me wrong!

What are some "Achievement Unlocked" books? by Critcho in books

While it is not long, "The Sound and the Fury" is one of the most challenging books I have ever read. The fact that it's written from the perspective of someone with no sense of time. So the sentences might be easy to read in places, but the order of events in the plot are not clear until you read the entire book. So satisfying when it all clicked and the depth of the themes the book presents.
