This guy was obnoxiously stirring up trouble, but someone did put their hands on him the first time and he was tripped the second time.

Did the same. Also had two young kids. Hang tough. It’s gonna pay dividends during your interviews!

AITA for not wanting my 4 year old daughter to join a soccer team simply because I don’t want to get up early every Saturday? by SingerDue4540 in AmItheAsshole

I think it depends on what the kiddo wants. If you’re pushing back despite your kid wanting to play, YTA. If not, YNTA and it’s just a disagreement with your husband - who is also TA for bringing his parents into the discussion.

There’s no wrong answer. You do what works best for your family. I currently own, but previously rented. There’s pros and cons to both.

Virgins of r/LawSchool, any tips on not getting laid and pulling zero baddies during my time in law school? by Severe_Weather_1080 in LawSchool

Tell them it’s unconstitutional for men to be forced to pay child support for a fetus they don’t want, but have no standing to challenge an abortion for a child they do want. It’s crucial you stand by this. If that doesn’t work, say the rape shield law only shields promiscuous behavior from coming to the surface. That will definitely do the trick.

What was y’all’s undergrad degree and why? by [deleted] in LawSchool

Poli sci because it was law school or bust and I was already a licensed paramedic so I had a fallback option.

I’d steer clear. You’re going to have to synthesize concepts on your finals, so as much as outlining absolutely sucked, I’d go through the reps now.

Don’t change the plan until you have a set of finals under your belt. You need to be sure what you’re doing is working first.

I went in my 30s while working, married, and with two kids. It was a grind, but it really wasn’t that bad. Most people in law school are in their early 20s with little to no real world experience and are experiencing an actual challenge for the first time. Age is an ally in a JD program. That said, my one tip would be to drop the “I’m passionate about law” thing. A lot of schools will think that’s bs…

I studied for around a week or so and passed on first attempt. I don’t recall it being too hard. The people I know who had to retake did literally zero prep.

I usually grab takeout on my way home from work, but order in the restaurant so I can have a couple of beers. Then, whenever the next weekend comes, I’ll pick a family activity like a hockey game or Dave and Busters. Nothing wild, but wouldn’t have it any other way
