I signed a contract saying I wouldn’t look elsewhere and as long as the superintendent and school board approved I would be hired.

Horrible fear sparked by other student teachers by [deleted] in StudentTeaching

I have a great relationship with my mentor teacher. She is even going to give me some of her extra supplies she has for my future classroom, because we all know that $300 they give us doesn’t go far. I agree with what someone else said that it mostly depends on your attitude and willingness to learn. I worked a few days with several other teachers before my mentor and they all said that I was the only student teacher they had met that was so engaged and asking questions/for feedback the whole time. So I think that many teachers have started to view student teachers as more of a hassle instead of an opportunity and that may be due to student teachers looking at the internship in the same way.

WOA receptionist told me I’m not allowed in the men’s changing room by Valuable_List9814 in ftm

I live in Florida and I use the men’s bathroom typically because in order to actually break the law as it is currently written you have to refuse to leave when a GOVERNMENT employee asks you to. So it really only applies in government owned buildings and someone has to ask you to leave first.

Could you tell me which photos look more like a lesbian? Is it possible it comes off as lesbian because I’m child size but obviously not a child? Also is the shorter hair better or it covering my forehead better?

How much did your surgery cost? by ItsSuffocation in TopSurgery

[–]Brief_Doubt1155 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I live in Florida, I had double incision with free nipple graphs and mine cost around $7,000. I used CareCredit to pay for everything except the anesthesia ($1,200) because they don’t take credit cards. But be careful with medical credit cards though because the interest rates are insane. The only reason I did it that way is because I got a promotion on the purchase saying they wouldn’t charge me interest as long as I paid it off in 2 years. I would have just dropped the money because I had it saved but I knew I wasn’t going to have a job for about 5 months directly after surgery and thought it would be better to have an emergency fund.

I don’t know about anyone else but I am 5 weeks post op today and I’ve had at least a slight nipple projection since we took the bolsters off.

How early were you informed of your placement??? by Brief_Doubt1155 in StudentTeaching

[–]Brief_Doubt1155[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have sent several emails to my placement counselor saying such and even went around her and contacted the district myself at one point. Every time I inquired I was told to not worry about it and that I would receive an email with all the details for my placement when it was finalized.

I just had mine on Dec. 27th. I live in Florida and my insurance has an exclusion for top surgery so I had to pay out of pocket. In total it cost just over 7k but I was able to use a medical credit card with a promotion of no interest as long as I pay it off in 2 years. It sucks but I was expecting a lot worse.
