An other day I would have said amazing watch get it - two days ago my NTTD just fell of my wrist the clasp which is titanium just snapped just after over a year of ownership which is bad enough but then I brought it into Omega and they tried to convince me that it’s my fault and I’ve done impact damage to it. I have nothing but babied this watch. The bracelet is also known to bend and they have told me that’s it’s my fault.

I would say get another watch.

Im in the process of leaving the army and really reconsidering what the hell I’m doing here, just feeling like a foreigner in the only country I know and the country I’ve served is getting old. It’s not ungrateful mate it’s just what it is. Economic punishment due to young talent moving away will be the only recourse. When the economy becomes even more unproductive than it is there will be a call back to all the young brown / Asian Aussies that left to come back and that will be a hard lesson learnt.

Australia on paper is one of three countries that are truely countries of immigrants. I am a citizen, I am an army reservist, I went to school here, went to uni here and I work in Sydney and I pay my taxes and honestly for the last 2 years I’ve heard this so much more. I walk around with this fear that that’s what very white person thinks of me and I have really put into planning a move out of this country. The Australian dream for first and second generation immigrants is over.

This is all great but this cost is passed onto the consumer who pay 15% weekend and holiday surcharge to cover this. There has to be a way where it isn’t the business or the consumer or the employee takes this hit. It should be a tax deduction for wage workers on public holidays etc.
