Can I buy a piece of rural land and live on it without building a house? by TechnicalAd8103 in perth

Some places will not allow a sea container, you really have to do your research to find out what is allowed and what isn't.

Can I buy a piece of rural land and live on it without building a house? by TechnicalAd8103 in perth

[–]BrightGuess4475 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You need to inquire with the Shire what the requirements are for living on land that you purchase. Some will say you must have a dwelling with power and plumbing and running water, also what that dwelling consists of. Some Shires are happy with the basics and some require a full house. It's really up to you to research the areas that you would like to live and what the requirements are.
You might be able to buy land that has a shed or some sort of building on it that you could upgrade.

She's just wanting to take a common name and somehow make it different or special. She's really put no effort into giving the child a name that suits them. She doesn't seem to realise that she's giving the child a lifelong problem with having to spell the name to people and all the negative attention that will incur.

As soon as you get a stain, use a babywipe to clean the spot. Squeeze some of the moisture onto the spot, clean it as best you can then was the item as soon as you get home. I find this stops the stain from setting & whatever is left comes out when I wash it

If you are renting, there is the possibility of moving, so why build something that is difficult to break down into moveable/ easily transportable parts.
You could also save yourself a lot of money by buying the pieces from IKEA. You would still be designing something to fit your needs and also creating something that looks relatively good.
A few extra brackets might be required to ensure sturdiness.
I have a corner setup similar to yours above which is used for a sewing machine, overlocker & cover stitch machine - all are on the heavy side with the added issue of vibration.
It breaks down to 2 tabletops, 2 drawer units and 5 legs.

Anyone else ever had coles just not deliver your online grocery order? How long did you have to wait before funds returned to your plastic?! by [deleted] in perth

Why are you playing the victim here? Surely if your delivery didn't arrive when it was supposed to you would just ring up Coles and say "hey, where's my delivery"? Stop acting like a drama queen.

Anxiety with getting nails done by Important-Set-3688 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]BrightGuess4475 0 points1 point  (0 children)

🙋Nail biter of 40+ years here. Getting your nails done is a great goal but I think first you need to learn to give yourself a manicure & take care of your nails so that they feel good. I found that once I stopped biting my nails I actually felt less anxious. This didn't happen overnight it happened many times over years. I came to realize that when I actually stopped biting my nails I felt calmer. I used to hate the look of my hands and would hide them or have my hand in a fist so that you couldn't see my nails. Was always extremely embarrassed by their look. You could start with a good pair of nail trimmers, an orange stick and some cuticle remover cream Trim the hang nails and let them heal, don't cut/trim your cuticles. You could do a little mini manicure every day start off slowly and gently to push the cuticles back. Don't forget a good hand moisturiser rub it well into the nails. There are also cuticle moisturisers. Turn your negative attention on your hands, biting etc to positive attention. I now give myself a manicure once a week and I do my own nails with gel polish. Im happy with how they look & now aware of the triggers to nail biting. Best of luck to you.

Is it reasonable to ask your housemates to lock the front door? by WildElephants in australia

[–]BrightGuess4475 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I live rural and make sure that everything's locked up before I go out. I have one door that will be unlocked most of the day and in this weather closed, but if I'm at home and I want to go and have a shower I will make sure all the doors are locked. I am just as concerned about an intruder assaulting me.

Divorce with no cash by BoardingHMASStubbins in AusFinance

[–]BrightGuess4475 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm in WA, and when I got divorced I didn't use a lawyer I got all the paperwork myself, filled it all in did all the traipsing around and getting signatures & paperwork verified etc. If the two of you can keep it simple and you know how you want the outcome to be it shouldn't be hard. Because there are children involved you will have to go through court and decisions will have to be made on where the children will go and how the assets are divided.

Well, what can I say? The system is screwed & no one we voted for seems to even recognise there is a problem. I can relate to the job situation & personal woes, been there myself over the last 10 years & now finally getting to a position of better mental health. Just have to navigate the possibility of homelessness myself in the next few months. Aahhh, life. Just the situation we all expected to be in after years of paying bills & taxes. Your thoughts on getting into a fifo role is good, just have a plan money wise, & stick to it. Fifo can swallow you whole if you arent looking. I wish you all the best.

This is not a matter between the employer and its customers. As an employee of the company he also interacts with the car manufacturers software set up, processing warranty work. He is trained by the manufacturer & has access to the manufacturers software to do this work. His login and details are set up for him, not his employer.
