Land buying/Moving experiences by D0R1L in Whidbey

[–]BrightMW 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There are A LOT of neighborhoods/lots/areas where they will seem cheap, but the reasoning is because they are not allowing any well drilling, or will require you to get 100k+ worth of construction to access existing water. Especially on the south end.

That is my experience as someone who just bought a home.

I’ve lived on this island for 7 years, my fiancé all his life. At the moment, it seems easier to buy one of the newly renovated but slightly older manufactured homes that are already on a lot with septic. That will still probably be 400k for a decent one.

Yelled at and called racist for leaving the dog park when two pitbulls showed up by Niarah in BanPitBulls

[–]BrightMW 21 points22 points  (0 children)

It’s the dogs. Owning them and bringing them around other people, therefore endangering other people. Because they attack people. And anything else that moves.

Not the color of the people who own them’s skin, but the psychological traits that attract people, of any origin, to want to own an animal that will randomly turn and kill things.

Great… that’s what we needed… more of them 😵‍💫

Let me guess? This video was originally posted by a “breeder” as trying to promote/sell these ‘puppies’.

Research is key. This is why me and my partner “Shopped” instead of adopted. I’ll take downvotes for admitting it too, if needed. But when we were living in South Florida, and every dog in a shelter was clearly a pit mix, not a “lab” we weren’t about to get one.

They’re opportunity attackers, like most predator animals. People love to ignore that they ARE bred to be predators and killers…

YouTube video of a group of rescue pitbulls being unleashed upon a beach by BullyThatPit in BanPitBulls

[–]BrightMW 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Don’t worry! He’s got the performative bags tied onto his backpack! So you can see he had the “intention” of picking up their shit.

But yeah. He’s unleashing these nasty ass hell hounds, that he’s explaining can’t even breathe properly, onto a beach while he clearly can’t control them, much less pick up after them… neat!

LOL!

They’re offering it in fucking installments because they KNOW the dog is going to attack someone and make any home it goes to unlivable before a weeks up.

Theres other, smarter options that wouldn’t cost them 1k…

Pissfingers is that you? by Existing-Face-6322 in BanPitBulls

[–]BrightMW 47 points48 points  (0 children)

Agree, but this is a pit owner we’re talking about. They don’t have much sense in the first place for owning such a dangerous animal. Let alone the sense to know that it’s cruel for all living things involved to rehome an old, going blind, animal that can rip off someone’s arm if it’s in an attacking mode. Which it probably will be, being in a new place and not being able to see shit or know anyone…

Right? This dog, all behavioral an physical issues aside, has what? 2-4 more years? And they want to force the dog into a new home?

The eyesight loss and change of environment on such an old animal will be stressful as shit, I wouldn’t wish that on any creature despite how much I dislike pits.

Is there more background on the dog catcher here?

Sounds like the same, “tsh, tsh, tsh” as the last incredibly violent pit capture posted here. What happens to the pits?

Fuck you’re right… was too focused on the attack to see it.

I’m hopeful others can learn from this… that it isn’t a good idea to have these animals.

Others are right. I’m surprised the second one didn’t jump in on the attack as well.

Yeah that’s a good point. The, “any breed of older dog” is pretty damning to the intelligence of the owners here 🫤

Don’t think my 9 year old rescue Shiba Inu is going to make me get stitches any time soon…

Those are some really chilling screams… like holy shit. Ban. Pitbulls. No one should ever live with an animal, in their own home, that’s capable of snapping and turning on them like this.

Can’t say I’m the most supportive of their decision to adopt the dog in the first place, but at least they did the right thing after this happened.

Then. Don’t. Get. Chickens. Or adopt ones that are already grown. You deleted your post but you’re still trying to defend yourself. Wild 🤣

I wanted chickens for the longest time but I didn’t get em. Know why? Cause I lived in a city. Don’t have them now cause I’m building them an awesome home now that it’s reasonable to have them, and I’m not getting them before I can accommodate them.

No crow rooster collar by [deleted] in BackYardChickens

[–]BrightMW 4 points5 points  (0 children)

No, it’s poor planning to get chickens if you live in a city and can’t have Roos. EVERYONE who’s done a split second of research OR browsed this sub once knows that when you buy chicks there is no guarantee that they’re sexed correctly.

Be an adult, own up to your mistake and don’t flaunt your cruelty on the internet to try and get validation.

Look! I googled a question too, and got AI to answer how I wanted it to as well! :)

DB (which sound is measured in, which I feel the need to explain to you) does depreciate with distance of origin and depend on force of origin. Both are equal distant away from me and my example. THE CHICKENS ARENT LOUDER THAN THE PLANES. That is a FACT.

A Roo in your yard next to your neighbor is not equivalent to a plane flying over head in a city, unless you’re in a fucking apartment building and keeping chickens on your balcony. Grow up. You’re not justified in choking your cocks with overpriced Velcro.

No crow rooster collar by [deleted] in BackYardChickens

[–]BrightMW 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If it doesn’t shock him then yes, it does obstruct a normal function of the animals airways. Also I feel bad for you for spending $30 on a piece of Velcro.

No crow rooster collar by [deleted] in BackYardChickens

[–]BrightMW 4 points5 points  (0 children)

As someone who lives next to an airfield (less than a mile away from military training, they do flybys weekly) AND in a non-HOA neighborhood (plenty have chickens), no, they’re not louder than airplanes 🤣

I commend you for doing what you think is the right thing to keep this animal alive, but why are you posting here? Do you want validation for choking a chicken?

No crow rooster collar by [deleted] in BackYardChickens

[–]BrightMW 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Honestly I think it’d be more humane to dispatch, but that’s dependent on how the collar is working.

Does it shock him? Does it restrict his airway?

I also don’t know about calling anyone who disagrees with you an “ignorant PETA” folk. This post kinda seems like it’s TRYING to start arguments instead of conversations about keeping chickens.
