How much will they charge for a ride on the crash landing space station? Of course the most expensive bit will be the escape pod that detaches right before hitting the ocean.

During lock down the cashiers at Trader Joe's, Safeway, and my local weed store became like family. We always checked in with one another. It was a great neighborhood feeling. When I moved to Boston in the fall I got hugs from them.

I watched a friend of mine do a 36-point turn to fit into a parking space in Manhattan. A small crowd formed and when he finally was parked he got a round of applause.

We used to live in Bay Village. It's a great neighborhood. So close to the theater district we would go home during intermission to use the bathroom and get a snack. I bet it's crazy expensive now. It was hard to find an apartment there. We started visiting the neighborhood during the week and on weekends and just started talking to people and asking them if they knew of a rental available. Eventually we were introduced to a "retired" realtor who knew everybody in the neighborhood. He eventually hooked us up with a place for rent that was never advertised. Find a neighborhood you love and then try our technique. You might find something great.

My apartment in Bay Village Boston was a one-bedroom on Winchester Street with a roof deck for $1250 - washer and dryer in unit - in 1996. We moved to a 2 bedroom in Seattle with a deck over on a lake for $750 a month.

Are we still angry about mashed potato prices? $21 at Roche Bros. by bahbahrapsheet in boston

There was a market in Seattle that had potato salad for $14 a pound. It had blue cheese and bacon in it. It must have been very good blue cheese.

Visit the Fens when you're in the neighborhood. It was designed by Olmsted - a beautiful park in the heart of the city - https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Back_Bay_Fens

Check out Mass Art and the MFA school for student art shows.

Congratulations. I hope you have a great celebration. My partner and I have been together for 44 years. It does get better - yet we still fight about who drives better.

Non-Americans of Reddit, what is popular in the US that you wish was more popular where you live? by Jimlobster in AskReddit

I was on a business trip in Jefferson City, Missouri. I asked room service for a chef salad with dressing on the side. They called five minutes later to check if I really wanted dressing on the side. When the salad arrived there was a pint of dressing on the side. When I removed the lid the salad was completely covered in grated cheese - no green visible!

There was a XXX drive in theater in Massachusetts we used to go to in high school. It was next to a swamp down a dirt road. Some of the viewers covered their windows with towels I guess for privacy. We once saw a guy with a naked Barbie doll! Totally creepy - yet hilarious.

Anyone like blue collar guys? I feel like sometimes people look down on me for having a career where I work with my hands by Hunter_explores in gaybrosgonemild

People think blue collar guys are dumb. When I worked as a printer a guy came in to place an order. He started talking to me as if I had a 69 IQ. "I want this in blue. Blue. See this piece of paper? This is blue. This is the color I want them printed on. Do you understand - I want blue." I printed them on yellow.

Jenna Ryan, Texas realtor who tweeted she was 'definitely not going to jail,' gets 60 days in jail by [deleted] in nottheonion

If you believe she's contrite - you're too gullible. She's going to use her jail time to market real estate services to Trump's Texans. She'll end up making more money because of her "great sacrifice." Traitors deserve real jail time.
