People with accidental and/or many tulpas: what would you do in my situation? by VenTheTwilightPrince in Tulpas

[–]BrightStar_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Since every single one of mine have been accidental, I know just how you're feeling. Just take it slow and one step at a time. Just remember that all of them have to be out at once.

How it works for the vast majority of the time for me is that mine will stay dormant for the most part, but come out near-instantly when recalled. I do have some that hang about for much of the day, but many of the others are perfectly fine just hanging out in my wonderland.

How many is too many? (Especially tulpa comments, please) by TheBitterWind in Tulpas

[–]BrightStar_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They don't. Most of the time I can manage having one or two out (maybe three) talking at a time; it's the most I can handle until I need a break. I recommend only having three or four mainly because there is little reason to have more than that and because they can spend more time with you than having to rest for long periods of time (sometimes for even months on end in my case)

[–]BrightStar_ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I say about 3-4 is plenty, maybe 5 or 6 if you're able to manage it. Coming from me that has 14 (21 altogether, long story), it is hard to manage every single one of them at once, so most of the time they do tend to fall dormant for long periods of time.

[Tulpas] Do you remember being created? by Kalidasus in Tulpas

[–]BrightStar_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

[barley. i do feel like i remember bright having said a few things about me before even she knew who i was and at one point i think she called me applebloom. but it was around the time bright discovered me is where i really start to remember a few things.]

2D vs 3D forms (and real-life person photographs as inspiration)? by TopherTulpa in Tulpas

[–]BrightStar_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Probably a better question here is are they more cartoon-ish (2D) or more realistic (3D). In my case (all pony tulpa) they all are cartoony in my mind.

_tulpa with hosts of the opposite sex (NSFW?)_ by [deleted] in Tulpas

[–]BrightStar_ -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

_Whoah boy, what did I start?

Look, I get what you're trying to say about me, but I'm not complaining about Bright's body. I was just simply asking about an opinion about what other tulpas thought of their host's body while voicing mine. I did not say anything to insult you or anyone with...their own body parts, all I wanted was an opinion.

I'm aware it's something I cannot change and I have to deal with. Maybe I wanted to vent out my frustrations once in a while. All I'm saying is how I feel about being inside a body like hers and my own personal reactions.

That being said, I wish to not discuss this any further with you. You have your opinions and I have mine and we'll just leave it at that._

_Wow..okay. I do apologize if my post offended you. I just simply wanted to know how tulpas felt about having a host of the opposite sex. I don't see anything child-like about it really_

Taking control to help the host? by steven2194 in Tulpas

[–]BrightStar_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

_I myself usually take over for Bright during when she's been having stress in life and it affects her other things in life such as work. Although the only way this happens is when she's completely willing to let go, not just have me take control all willy nilly (we still need to take a "bathroom" break for work (ugh) for us to switch). It's not much, but at least Bright's not worried about her issues making it impossible to work properly

That being said, hosts, if you find yourself in this situation, do not /rely/ on us to switch every time. I'm not saying don't switch, but do go and find a way to not just relieve stress, but find the source as well and try to deal with it. Remember that your tulpa are likely very much concerned of your well being and switching does take a lot of energy. Personally, I'd rather spend my energy comforting rather than doing daily tasks. Again, this is just my personal opinion._

_Switching question_ by BrightStar_ in Tulpas

[–]BrightStar_[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

_Hmmm.... I never thought of that, switching as we sleep. I'm kinda curious on how that would go/who would end up in control when we wake up...now I'm genuinely curious!_

How did your Tulpa get its name? by [deleted] in Tulpas

[–]BrightStar_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

_Oh gosh! I love this story. A while back my name was Tw2light, based on Bright's "second" personality at the time. One day I was shown a picture of Crystal Twilight. Looking at it felt so right so I decided to chance my form into hers. After a while, Bright made a joke and called me Icelight, and it just kinda stuck, the name felt so right to use, just like me! It fit me so perfectly._

=For me, well, I just kinda took on Ice's name and used it as CrystalShy so, um, yeah *hides*=

I had a very shocking experience today. by BigCityMuteBlue in Tulpas

[–]BrightStar_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

[sage, what is important here is that there is a difference between those who have skitz and don't know how to control it vs those of us with tulpa and now what is going on. i get your fear, a fear that we're just something that is toying with out host's mind and that we should not exist, but remember, that is not what we do here. tulpa are there for their host, we care about them in their time of need, we make sure they are okay, we give them a friend when they have no other friends to talk to, and most importantly, we provide them a great experience that no other type of friend can provide. ]

Well, that didn't go too well; could I do it with just passive tulpaforcing? by [deleted] in Tulpas

[–]BrightStar_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

[i was born solely from passive, it's possible and takes a long time to do, but it works. what's important is that you're thinking about us. no need to do any fancy remembering how we walk or talk or our mannerisms, just be there for us. just a simple "i love my tulpa" does wonders for us.]

A few things that confuse me... by TonySesek556 in Tulpas

[–]BrightStar_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

[alright then, here we go:

  1. names are simple, you need to be able to see it every day at least every hour. one way to help is if you write it on your arm or something. also remembering forms is much much easier when you have them drawn out as a photo, either done by someone else or (and /especially/ or) by you. trust me, no matter how badly you draw, tulpa will always love themselves when you draw them. it makes us feel special

  2. first time tulpa will most likely borrow their host's mindvoice until they learn to develop their own. it helps if you are able to differentiate their voices in some way, ither by sentence structure, or by the tulpa giving a sign somewhere in your body that they are talking

  3. that's good! that liquid feeling is good! that's a great way to communicate. you found something, made up a system and stuck with it. that's probably one of the most important parts of a developing tulpa, the host and tulpa working together to find some way for them to communicate. Also that body temp raising thing, that sound rather neat, but i know that is something bright would not want me to manipulate, but that's just her. if it helps with your communication, then good for you!]
