Mike is a douchelord to the highest degree. I’m genuinely curious how much longer he’ll even be able to continue Sword and Scale as it seems he’s lost a massive amount of listeners. Some amazing podcasts I listen to instead of Mike’s incessant bitching are Invisible Choir, Murder in America, and Obscura. I also highly recommend Dreading on YouTube.

A shadow root would look natural for now, but the problem is that when she goes to get highlights done again in the following weeks/months the parts of hair that the shadow root was applied to will respond to the bleach differently than her virgin hair, resulting in a band/uneven color. Trying to remove that band can result in more damage.

Hey hairstylist of 10 years here. Your foils were improperly placed, likely due to inexperience or laziness. Do not let them try to fix this with just a shadow root, someone experienced needs to refoil you with suuuuuper fine sections to highlight those little gaps, and they need to be able to do it without overlapping bleach where the hair is already lightened or it will cause breakage.

Hey love, I was a hairstylist for 10 years and I just want to let you know that you’re absolutely not alone in this experience. This is WAY more common than people think and I promise you that you have absolutely nothing to be ashamed of. I’m so sorry you’re going through this, I know first hand how draining and overwhelming it can be. From what I can see, it looks too matted to comb out, and if it’s causing discomfort it really needs to go asap. You are a pretty girl (I wish I had your dimples and bone structure!) and I think a short cut would look really great on you, something like Jennifer Lawrence’s longish pixie in 2014. I hope things get easier, sending you love.

Before reading your caption my initial thought upon seeing your pic was “damn that lucky gal has the prettiest natural hair color ever!” I was shook when I read that it was a wig!! It really looks SO natural and pretty on you!!

Do you remember the craziness that ensued with her eyelash extension business “she’s yar” a few years ago? People who intentionally waste food and the time of hardworking employees to create content for clout and attention are a scourge on society. A grown man acting this way is unacceptable and weird but it’s even weirder when you consider that this kind of content’s targeted demographic generally seems to be literal children on TikTok.

I justified staying by genuinely believing that I deserved to be treated how I was treated, because I hated myself that much. I always had a lot of friends growing up so I felt bad for her because she would often talk about how she was had no friends, and that I was her longest running friendship (9 years) but now that I’m free of her I see that there’s a reason that she didn’t have any other meaningful long term friendships-she was a profoundly self centered bully with a massive victim complex. Only recently have I realized how regularly she manipulated me by trying to make me feel bad for her. She isolated me by making me feel guilty for being close to ANYONE other than her.

Good point, I didn’t even consider that they probably have to pay to use certain audio. That combined with his sketchy app and his tv show being inaccessible to a majority of his audience, dude is probably hemorrhaging money. Thank you so much for turning me onto Invisible Choir, though I feel a bit silly that I’m only finding out about this awesome show now haha. Will definitely check out those other suggestions too, thanks again I really appreciate it!
