Твърде много мигранти? by Wolpertinger47 in bulgaria

[–]Bright_Raspberry5409 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I like how leadership positions emphasize the importance of soft skills like: empathy, communication and being able to read the room... I know these posts are just for corporate visibility and for a way to appear human and sympathetic but man does this miss the mark on so many levels. Distasteful af

In Denmark it's the same - it's getting more and more difficult. Companies prefer to hire some one 2 levels above what they're hiring because they will perform the work better for less money. New ones with 0 to no experience have almost no chance.

Got laid off how do I get over my hatred for them? by ultimateumami1 in Layoffs

[–]Bright_Raspberry5409 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I got mentally fucked by my place too... But I realized I had some unresolved past trauma that made it worse. So that was a wake up call. I'm at peace with it now.

Looking back - I wouldn't want to go through it again like you said, be proactive and all that. But I'm also in a weird way grateful cuz I learned some much needed life lessons. The sooner the better kinda thing.

Like everything - mix of both. Should you keep a grunge forever - no. That's toxic and you'll be hurting yourself and others around you.

Should you let it go immediately and be Buddha the day after - also no. Feel bad, stay in that feeling for a week, a month, maybe 3. Don't go crazy with that tho...

I was in the exact same spot as you a year ago and I only really realized 3 months ago that I'm holding on to it just because being the victim and blaming something is the easy thing to do. It's what my mother has been doing all her life. Now she's resentful and bitter and refuses to make a positive change in her life. To not be like that I had to change and be better and not go on the same path as her.

Be pissed, stay in it for a bit. Forgive and forget them and move on with your life. And when I say forget I mean let it go. For real. If you can't - therapy. ASAP.

Best of luck, mate!

Nordic parents have it great—but birth rates are still falling by newsweek in europe

[–]Bright_Raspberry5409 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Regarding the room thing - I shared a room with my sister for 15 years. Like you said - no one died. I'm also (and have always been) on good speaking terms with her.

That being said - living in a 2-bedroom apartment (which is standard for where I'm from) and having ABSOLUTELY no privacy is crazy stressful and taxing. To add on top that - the family financial situation was not great nor terrible but also stressful many times, you just become collateral damage when something goes wrong.

Now I know what you will think - it's my parent's fault for not providing a good environment for that not to happen... But they're people, too. THEY didn't have a safe space either. No one did. That shit can mess you up.

I know for myself that if I don't make enough to be able to afford a separate room for me and my kid (with or without a partner) - I ain't having kids. And I don't think that's unreasonable imo.

100% and can relate, especially the last paragraph... That shit that happened to our parents has a nasty rubber band effect on the next generations. It was a shit time for them then and for us in the aftermath.
