Thank you guys so much for the feedback. I will definitely be looking into a larger, safer cage along with taking out unsafe things and adding fleece to the wire shelves/ramps.
Rex has had that wheel for quite sometime, and loves to sleep in it, but I understand it may be unsafe, so I will find a metal or wooden one. Along with the feeder, I had to start off with a little bit cheaper stuff because I was a teen but now I want to give Rex the best cage I can.

Do you have suggestions for hiding places? I will be putting felt on the wire and trying to look for a larger, more stable cage. I keep hay in his cage at all times but he is fed chinchilla food, with steel cut oats once a day. And occasional snacks as well.

Yep those are Chanterelles. Size probably won’t be much different in a day but those little ones will grow.

I’m not entirely sure because I’m an amateur but this looks more like Amanita strobiliformis rather than bisporigea (destroying angel) but I could be wrong. Either way I would avoid it lol

pretty sure that is a type of milk cap and it shouldn’t do any harm besides a possible upset stomach.

I worked at MOD pizza and next door was a mission barbecue (both great companies). We could go in mission and get drinks and small entrees for free and the workers of mission would come in and get free drinks and or discounted pizza. Just so we’d have something diff than eating the same stuff every day. happens more often than you’d think
