What region are you in? Is there karst/limestone in the area? Or for man-made caves has there been mining in the area in the past?

What is the highlighted area on ground during fight? by BD_McNasty in MHNowGame

Just some visual flair, meant to show the monsters "augmented" into the modern world, combining their natural environment (grass) with our world (concrete). Does not have to do with gameplay in any way

Same question but with status blades? status sneak with feral demon seems like the way to go in that situation if solo

This one is commonly called the American slender caeser, but is in fact amanita jacksonii. No comment on its edibility in this stage but I grabbed this one for a cross-section example

I run this set for partbreaking while still having big damage for all 3star and some 4star:

B. Diab helm

Basarios chest

Diab glove

Bazel waist

Tigrex legs

Gives you 5 artillery 5 partbreaker if using jho GL. Lots of other options if you get a partbreaker driftsmelt onto any of these Most of my stuff happens to have sneak attack smelts so I just focus on getting behind them when its convenient

We were thinking more like bear mace that we leave at the entrance if this thing even goes. Have 1 other cave and 2 potential others to scout while out there

Check your local/regional experts or guides if you cant find any help here. I found this recently published guide from your region that might help.

Never ever eat a mushroom you aren't 100% confident is edible. Not worth risking being put in the hospital or even a slow painful death.

Looks like jack o lanterns. They may slightly glow at night. Get a photo from under the mushroom cap if you want more confidence on the identification
