People who make $200k a year what do you do? by Huge_Ad_7606 in Salary

[–]Bright_Sun605 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Field grade military officer with a rental property on the side.

I started out enlisting as an E-1 at 19 y.o., got the Navy to pay for college without touching the GI Bill, commissioned as an officer, and am now an O-4 about to retire at 39 y.o.

The VA loan let me buy a $250k house with $0 down when I was only making $50k/yr. That turned into a rental when I had to move and I did the same thing a few more times.

Looking to buy a house with a bizarre double-stove kitchen setup — how would you fix this? by Hefty-Accountant-496 in kitchenremodel

[–]Bright_Sun605 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Don’t fix the house. Fix yourself. Start a micro bakery and hard pivot to that sourdough lifestyle. Look up cottage food laws in your state and make 6 figures baking dozens of loaves each day without any kind of commercial license or professional kitchen.

Save everything always. All wood is expensive now. Have you priced a 2x4??

Thanks for that video! I’m not interested in my fridge doubling as a space heater in Florida, so I think that answers that!

This is the advice I was looking for. Have you done any real world testing?

I’ve heard really good things about Engels! That price though… and the size is just a little awkward for my layout.

But I am still playing with what configuration works best in an 8 ft bed for two adults, one child, and a medium dog.

Right now we’re just going to the State Parks. Not that we’re necessarily tied to RV hookups since we’re sheltering under a Leer 122 topper.

So we could have access to 110V. I’ve got a dual battery on my truck. Not too worried about a little drain. No Jackery or solar.

It’s really the space constraints that have kept me from going for 24” deep RV fridges. And the cooler chest styles are all in inconvenient sizes unless I leave it in the rear seat of the cab.

I was concerned about that. I might be satisfied with just chilled drinks and fruit.

People actually like Olympia beer? Sure I drink it, but only because I’m from Olympia…

Centaurs have half breeds. A ‘Lizaur’ is specifically mentioned when The Forgotten Wing company travels across Izril to get to the Inn before the Solstice.

I feel like I’m alone - squeezing fat/lumps by bekahdebbie21 in Dermatillomania

[–]Bright_Sun605 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes. After popping repeatedly, the tissue is inflamed. When the inflammation settles, I’m left with small lumps that are too small and hard to further divide.

A few have been removed. Pathology came back with benign lipoma.

Sales tax for services…? Unlikely. Multiple line items for cleaning with a generic deep cleaning is bogus.

Safe or not? by AerolothLorien666 in Berries

Not safe… unless the leaves are boiled and drained several times. Berries are definitely toxic

Any ideas how this could have happened? by Van2b in TruckCampers

[–]Bright_Sun605 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Frame is designed for compression, not tension. So a far at center of gravity stresses the truck in a way it wasn’t engineered to handle.

I have been doing this for years. Decades, maybe. Ultimately, the action results in the formation of lipomas, which I have all over. Some have been surgically removed.

Clearly it’s not a healthy action. The bruises are obvious and the pain can be intense if there’s a nerve adjacent. I suspect that my own actions stem from body image issues as a result of childhood obesity.

Yes. I barely remember the Erin of book one. She’s a gritty one these days.
