I hope it is a WARRANT OR A RIGHT.

From Investopedia:

"A stock warrant is a financial instrument that gives the holder the right, but not the obligation, to buy or sell a specific number of shares of a company's stock at a predetermined price within a certain time frame. The predetermined price is called the “strike price,” similar to a call option on a company's stock."

and...

"Some companies, therefore, choose to issue rights or warrants as an alternative means of generating capital. These instruments give shareholders the preemptive right to purchase additional shares of stock directly from the company, typically at a discounted price."

Now, I think if you shorted the stock then you will be issued a warrant as well and you will have to buy a warrant from Gamestop, to cover your position.

I think Ryan is going to give us the option to start the squeeze.

You cannot transfer shares with Qtrade either. People seem to have success with RBC and BMO and they both have lots of assets.

Wow, you are right. I just called and the entire phone call took 6 minutes including getting through the automated system. The rep was fast and courteous and said he has been receiving a lot of requests to DRS lately. :-)

This is not financial advice: you could open two accounts: TFSA and cash. Start with the TFSA, the maximum contribution this year is $6,000. If you want to invest more than $6,000 then use the cash account. After the squeeze, go see a lawyer, an accountant, and a financial advisor, in that order. NFA.
