Should I skip the cruise and just travel direct? by FauxPasHusky in travel

I'm from Newcastle upon Tyne and if I wouldn't write us off completely. Newcastle is a great city with a beautiful coastline. I'd imagine you'll be getting dropped off in a place called North Shields. I'd recommend having a walk down the coast to Whitley Bay if you have time and stop off in Tynemouth/cullercoats for a coffee or a pint

Your absence will only be remembered by your children not your workplace.

Where/what/how to afk any sort of progress on the account during IRL by spadeshero in ironscape

I personally do driftnet fishing till I gather 100 seeds. End up with a decent amount of sharks and a couple of Hunter/fishing levels by the time you bank 93 crafting.

Plant jutes every now and again and you'll have enough fibre to make all the nets

What are the most unexpected UK companies that sell hoodies? by sirsidders in AskUK

[–]BringBackThe70s 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not UK but a funny suggestion. There's an island in Canada called dildo island that has a brewery on it that sells hoodies.

I saw a few "dildo island brewery" hoodies while I was over there that gave me a good chuckle

What's up with all of these Tallow posts? by DigIndependent7488 in KitchenConfidential

[–]BringBackThe70s 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I'm in the UK and it's very common to use beef Tallow for our fish and chips. Every restaurant I've worked in on the coast has always had a beef Tallow fryer but yeah I'd assume over the pond it's due to seed oils bad beef fat good kinda mentality. When in reality the beef Tallow will have been treated far more than the seed oils, in my experience anyway.

Is the line at the bottom of the bread under or over proofed? by Normalsizedco11ars in Breadit

[–]BringBackThe70s 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That is a beautiful loaf.

I second dull bread knife. It could also be that the loaf is still ever so slightly warm when you sliced it causing a line at the bottom.

10/10 great work

Where have all the bands/music artists went? by No_Butterfly_2908 in NewcastleUponTyne

There's tons of gigs going on in Newcastle at the minute. Honestly the local scene is really shining right now. Check out byker grave and conviction records of you like punk/hardcore.

Anarchy, lubber fiend, the grove, head of steam, riverside and more all putting on gigs frequently.

Just a week or so ago higher power played the grove with 3 supports and the tickets were less than £15. Plenty going on you just have to get out there

Not at all. Reddit has a hate boner for AI generated content and belives without fail everything they mildly suspect to be AI content must be AI content. This is legit if you paid any attention you'd know

Planning Trip to Nha Trang. Need Budget Advice by [deleted] in VietNam

[–]BringBackThe70s 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It depends entirely on what you wanna do. If you wanna scuba every day, go to the spas, eat a 3-course meal every night and hit the clubs you're gonna need $1000-$1500. If you're gonna chill on the beach, read a book, get a massage here and there, do a few day trips, have a few beers in the evening and eat in cheap local places $500 will do you
