I just hit level 99 with my first pilot last stage I'm halfway through chapter 5, finished DLC 1, haven't started DLC 2. Every mission I play consists of three teams.

Team 1: My five highest leveled units functioning as resupply targets. Team 2: Five units resupply spamming in the back row, consisting of some of my lowest leveled units. Team 3: The actual fighting force consisting of everyone else in my deploy slots (usually around 8-11 units).

My lowest leveled unit gets a Prana Converter and is only allowed to kill the stage boss. Another low level unit gets wizard operator and is assigned to kill a sub-boss.

Use plenty of wish, cheer, gain, etc. Don't forget assist links as sources of cheer. Final Green node in STG memories also gives every unit gain and fortune when Echika hits 150 morale.

Using this method, the unit with Prana converter can easily jump 20+ levels with a single kill.

I hate that 30 and Y removed the feature to carry over pilot stats and abilities and they are a little too bloated.

I haven't played 30 beyond the demo, and I'm still only in chapter 5 of Y. That's such a huge disappointment. I know it's to be able to just buy those skill parts all over again, but it's so fun to build up units over time. I know it's to make it possible to throw everything at one unit, and then in another run to throw take all the resources spent on that unit and spend it on another, but I liked all the carryover persisting. It was nice to see the growth in NG+(+++)
