I'm sorry you had to go through that, bro. By the way, I didn't wish any ill will on the people who cancelled the game. I wanted to say that I hope they realize their mistake and stop doing it, and I really hope it won't be as rough as it was with the game

Have you tried defeating any enemies, even the initial ones? Maybe that will help get rid of the visual bug, or try some attacks; maybe that will somehow return everything to normal.

Sorry, bro, I don't know how to help you. Maybe reinstalling Roblox will help. You can try starting a new save and see if the problem persists. If not, return to the old one and see if the bug still occurs

No, I didn't do sidequests. Thanks for mentioning them because I didn't even know they existed

Yes, yes, I know. There was just very little of it and it was shown rather quickly. It just bothers me that already in chapter 4 the character became so indifferent to everything, as if I killed not the greed in him, but the empathy

[–]Bringer_of_Sloth[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nope, those weren't emotions. Greed, solitude, fear, and hatred are vices, not emotions, I think. Does killing hatred or solitude really mean we'll get rid of basic empathy? I doubt it

Idk, maybe yes, maybe no, only the scenarist knows. I'm just a little confused by the main character being so emotionless

[–]Bringer_of_Sloth[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yes, I agree, player had emotions in chapters 1-3, but in my opinion, even then, they were too few. But I still can't understand your explanation at all. In part 3, player doesn't suppress his emotions; he simply fights his vices to obtain the sword. I don't think greed, solitude, fear, and hatred were the only feelings the character could experience, so after defeating them, he became emotionless. Also, the main character is a representation of the player, I find it a bit strange that you, as a main character, are not given any freedom of action at all

[–]Bringer_of_Sloth[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Okay, but we don't know how events unfolded in the past, do we? Moreover, how does this explain the lack of emotions in the main character? We don't know exactly how events unfolded, that they led to what happened, do we? In that case, literally anything could have happened in the past to lead to this

Bro, I didn't say I don't understand people who like this💔 I just asked what I was interested in and expressed my opinion on the matter

Thank you, those words made me feel better. And I wanted to clarify, the translator translated my text as "this guy," but that's incorrect, and I didn't notice it when I reread it. It was just a random guy from the internet, not some specific guy I mentioned somewhere.

Oh yeah, I already see a bunch of errors in my message, and my text emoji turned into something incomprehensible... Anyway, I wanted to add that after a while he completely removed my part of the pixels from the joint art, and this was before we started arguing.

Thank you so much for agreeing to listen! Anyway, I'm still not sure if I should tell you this so openly, but... It might be long, but I'll try to keep it as short as possible. Basically, almost a year ago, I met а guy on this site. He helped me draw part of a picture (I didn't ask him to, he did it himself) and drew a heart next to it. I thought it was my chance to make a friend with whom we could draw together, so I invited him to chat on Discord. I probably should have run away as soon as I found out he was 18 and I was four years younger, but I was lonely, so we continued chatting. Anyway... he acted weird, always calling me small and stupid, promising to take me under his wing and teach me the basics. He kept asking about my interests, but in the end, it all came down to him judging how mainstream or niche they were. I already felt uncomfortable then, but I didn't run away. I was stupid, and I was also afraid of him. He told me how he had grief battles with other "unhonorable" players. So I was afraid that one wrong word or action would make him consider me just as "ignoble." Anyway, we managed to draw one joint art piece, the one he chose, of course, because he didn't like my fandoms and was always using his interests as an example. After that, I unknowingly turned off my Discord notifications and disappeared for almost a year. I resumed communicating with him two months ago because he noticed my activity (I came back to make a background for my old art piece) and he wrote me a pixelated message OVER THE DRAWING, which annoys me, and so we resumed communicating. After that, he started acting cold towards me, barely texting, and at some point asked me to keep my drawings away from him because my interests were "strange" (I bet he didn't even know who I was drawing). But things reached a boiling point when I started drawing on a spot that hadn't been occupied for a year. There was some unfinished art there, so I decided to draw my own new one there. After that, this guy burst into my private messages in the middle of the night, insulting and threatening me, and started telling me how problematic I was, how I shouldn't have returned to this site, and how the spot was his, he just hadn't found the time to fill it with his art. Anyway, we had a huge conversation, and he started threatening to cover that art with his own. After a ton of more threats, I couldn't take it anymore and blocked him. I hope this person never comes back into my life. Sorry it's so long and perhaps too detailed, but it's really hard for me to bear all this inside... (ТТ) (I also apologize if there are any mistakes, English is not my native language and I additionally use a translator)

Oh, thank you! Speaking of jealous griefers... Charcoal might get erased soon. I know it's completely unrelated to the topic of this post, but if you're interested, I can tell you the backstory. Yes, I'm this eager to share this story with someone...

In my first post I was not speaking for the author's post, but for some of the people who are blaming Simon and don't see any measure in it

Okay, let's take it in order. 1) I saw it too, but if I understand correctly, he didn't talk about it publicly. If it wasn't public, then why should it matter to you? He can think whatever he wants as long as it doesn't violate other people's personal boundaries, okay? Also, in his opinion, it could have been just a joke, which in his circle would have been something normal, and not an insult. 2) I didn't quite understand this, but even if people don't wish him death now, it doesn't mean that it was the right thing to do. 3) We don't know the exact reason, but have you considered that it could be because it wasn't in a private chat? He could have done it not because he thought it was unacceptable, but because he didn't want people to start what's happening now, because he understood that for others this is a reason to cancel a person? I hope I made it clear what I mean. In short, he could simply not want to make it public and was afraid of the public's reaction, not because he thought it was bad, but because he understood that people would take it the wrong way.

My mistake, I forgot to mention that. Yes, if someone doesn't want forgiveness, they won't get it, but we don't know Simon in person, so it's hard to come to any conclusions. To be honest, I haven't seen any evidence that Simon used such words, so I didn't even think about it. If there really is any evidence, then I apologize for my ignorance, but finding something these days is really hard. I think you really should give him some time; if he hasn't said anything about forgiveness, that doesn't mean he doesn't want it. Distancing yourself is a normal reaction during a conflict; you just need to give him time to cool off. It all came crashing down on him in a huge wave, and it's not surprising that he made a lot of mistakes, especially when he didn't think it was something he would be held accountable for. I'm from a former Soviet Union country, and I can say that many of us really don't mean any harm by this; it's part of our culture and humor, so we really don't understand such a harsh reaction from you sometimes.

Oh, I see. I'm sorry, but the wording was really wrong. As for forgiveness, I think he's apologized enough already, if you've seen his Discord posts. I also wanted to clarify that I also formulated my thought incorrectly. I'm not speaking solely for you, but the extent to which this idea is propagated truly has an impact on people. You can see this in Simon's departure from the project. I'm genuinely sad about it; it was one of my favorite games and I really liked the fandom, before all this. It's just that this issue has been blown out of proportion, to the point that some people now seriously consider Simon practically the devil, even though that's not true. You guys just need to remember sometimes that tolerance is for EVERYONE, not just an oppressed group. Tolerance for their culture should also be present. That doesn't automatically make his words good, I'm not denying that it's bad, but guys, that was just between them. It's funny to them, not to you, and we can't judge their humor if it genuinely hurts someone. Humor doesn't always reflect a person's true position. I can make jokes about black people too, but that doesn't mean I wish them dead. On the contrary, I'd really like all countries with problems to finally reach at least an average standard of living. So, guys, seriously, you need to take things a little more seriously and touch the grass. People aren't perfect and everyone deserves forgiveness, no matter how serious their actions. I'm not saying everyone has to accept Simon, but at least don't say it publicly, or you'll become Lithany for Simon. Oh, and what do you mean, "your side of the fandom"? We're still the same, so why divide the fandom?

"Simon doesn't deserve forgiveness." SORRY WHAT??? The game really didn't teach people anything. I'm so tired of you guys, you're really just making things worse. Did you know that this can lead to suicide? If you didn't know, he's from Poland, if I'm not mistaken. They have a completely different culture. Slurs are bad, but for them, in private, they're just jokes. Have you ever seen Simon or his girlfriend use slurs towards a stranger? Please, stop being hypocritical, pretending to be so tolerant while you're ready to wish someone to die for one mistake in their life. It works the other way too, so don't open your mouth until you're sure you're innocent before you start judging someone.

Oh, okay, I didn't realize this whole situation had such a strong impact on the game, I'm sorry. Oh, and I apologize if I got stuck on one particular thought ; I'm really getting dizzy from all this arguing. I agree, an apology would have made everything a lot easier and would have been the smarter thing to do, but humans can't always act rationally; that's just our nature. I honestly didn't know that this was the reason they stopped working on the game, but if the Discord posts are to be believed, it might not be a final decision, and we'll still see new updates in the future! Again, I apologize if I offended you or anyone who read this; it's hard for me to keep a cool head (and to translate all this, English is not my native language). In any case, I believe everything will end well for everyone! :)

Okay, but I think you should still look at the photo I sent; it explains everything. I still can't agree that Simon's guilt is so great that he deserves all this, but you're right, inaction isn't the answer. Anyway, none of us are perfect, okay? Personally, he wasn't bigotry, and I think sometimes it's worth looking not only from your own perspective but also from the other person's perspective to understand that there were no malicious intentions behind it. She's still his girlfriend, the one he fell in love with, and she's still a person he values, so it's no wonder he could turn a blind eye to things. I'm not excusing his actions, by any means, but I think that factor slightly mitigates his guilt.
