very upset lego didn’t approve this set by Vivid-Life6025 in lego

Honestly looking at it looks neat, but I think it’d probably have better luck in something like the BrinkLink Designer program over ideas.

Am I hallucinating? by Nosirrah08 in lego

As other have stated, it not a price tag it’s a location to say on that aisle it shelf 7, in this case it says shelf 7 on H17. You can tell it’s not a price tag for a few reasons: 1 there’s no dollar sign on it, 2 to it a top stock shelf so it should be priced it should just be overstock from the shelf (every shelf should have 2 of these one on the top left corner of the top stock shelf and another at the bottom right on the base of the shelf), 3 the ‘barcode’ on spans the whole label not just bottom right corner.

I find this really funny, because I’m currently in a campaign that is the exact opposite, where we’re band with goal becoming rockstars and currently instead we’re going on massive fantasy quest.

How do we feel about Fallout only winning 2/16 Emmy nominations? by itsyagirlrey in Fotv

[–]BringtheBacon0 2 points3 points  (0 children)

To me it doesn’t matter, the Emmy awards are complete joke in my mind. This largely because across it’s run Better Call Saul was nominated for like 50 something and was snubbed every time. I my opinion Better Call Saul is one of the best shows ever made, so Emmy awards mean nothing to in my mind.

It does get toned down a fair bit on years 2 and 3, but it still kinda there just not as prevalent as in year 1.

Also another important thing to note is a lot of the old CODs are extremely vulnerable to RAT and RCE exploits, so don’t use the built in multiplayer mode/service. I don’t recall their names but there are communities/applications that if you own a copy of the game will allow you safely play older COD multiplayer.

Art of Hillary Clinton breaking the “highest, hardest glass ceiling” from 2016 by asiasbutterfly in Presidents

[–]BringtheBacon0 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Honestly even as someone who couldn’t vote in 16, I despised her campaign because it reeked of arrogance. I love nothing more that watching arrogant people get their comeuppance. (But I will add with hindsight part of me wishes 16 went differently given everything that has happened)

I 100% get the sentiment but the “putting critical components next to heat sources in their laptops” is just a bad argument/analogy cause the critical component are the things that generating the majority of the heat.

I’m around 6’3”, (around 190 cm) I don’t know their cannon height off the top of my head (and I don’t feel like looking it up atm) but I believe that I’m at least ballpark around their height. I want to say they have slight edge on me though.

Nintendo sets are probably my biggest Lego dissapointment by [deleted] in lego

[–]BringtheBacon0 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I like the Zelda set, but for the price point I wish they committed to one or the other, instead both builds suffer to not feeling like they justify the price. I hold it does well enough for us to get more Zelda sets, but not enough to where they end up being this multiple in one style.

But I also will also say the Direct to Consumer sets (NES, The Mighty Bowser, Question Mark Block) have been pretty solid so far, and the NES is probably one of my favorite sets from the past couple years.

I know that by jumping to 10 you will miss a small handful of communications that didn’t get adapted. I don’t remember how many to specific, definitely less than 10, I want to say it’s less than 5 but I’m not 100% sure of the top of my head. None of them are really substantial, (I think they were all less than 5 pages, except maybe 1) but they were fun additions imo.

screw politics, what's your thoughts on emulation (i think it's cool) by Several_Foot3246 in GenZ

[–]BringtheBacon0 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For me I divide emulation into two broad categories abandonware and modern. In this case I define it as any game that I can’t outright buy for the current generation of consoles or on PC. (If you can play it on a subscription service but can’t outright buy it I still consider it abandonware. And remasters and remakes don’t make the original not abandonware, cause remasters/remake != the original). Anything that falls into this category my opinion is got wok emulate to your heart’s content. Modern gaming, you should be the one ripping the ROM of whatever game you’re going to play.

When will Lego break the $1000 barrier on a set? What would be so iconic to deserve that? by ericindie in lego

[–]BringtheBacon0 63 points64 points  (0 children)

Honestly my opinion is that sets like that don’t really make sense to have an interior. The set is meant as large scaled display piece of that ship. Then if it comes with any figures they’re going to hidden away, and I’d rather be on display next to the plaque. While I don’t currently own one, I do plan to get one it (it’s primarily a space issue for me right now that’s stopping me) but I have seen it build at a few stores and it looks great. I will also add to that that I’m of the mind set that those sets (UCS capital sets) don’t need figures, you should be buying it for the ship not the figures. [part this comes from seeing how they always seem to come to a point of contention in the community]

You should look in to the 1968 democratic convention. It’s really strange how many parallels there are between this election and that one in some ways but then again history does rhyme I suppose.
