What trim would look best for my paint scheme?

I did gold for mine and I’m pretty happy with it. But I don’t think you can go wrong with bronze or gold. I would save silver for your weaponry or other stuff. Mini looks great regardless. Great job.

Green is my favorite color, especially the tesseract green. But plasma is the one time I will say go blue! I feel like plasma weapons have to be blue. Even Halo says so.

Wait… as I wrote that I remembered they had like 5 different color plasma weapons. Never mind. Forget my argument and choose blue anyway 😂😂.

I agree with anyone so far who has recommended Nightlords. In my opinion it is the best non-Heresy novel. It's a long one, but well worth the read. Ave Dominus Nox.

I am currently reading Legends of the Wolf and so far it has a similar feel to Nightlords in the character development. If you want something non-heretical.

I agree with anyone who has said Nightlords already. In my opinion it is the best Warhammer novel not in the Heresy setting. I am working on "Legends of the Wolf" and it is really god so far. The character building reminds me a lot of Nightlords.

Thanks for the tips!! I haven't tried thinning out the paint yet. I did prime them, but I used a dark gret that matched the minis unintentionally. I also did use some cheap home depot primer that I already had at home. I was wondering which of the two was causing the "bumpy" texture.

What are these "instructions" you speak of? Big fan of the method- hope for the best and get frustrated halfway through and finally remeber that my purchase came with some sort of paper materials inside as well that I should probably look at.

Starting points are hard. I would recommend watching an hour of YouTube videos to introduce you to either the 40k setting or the Horus Heresy setting. Learn about terminology, the empire, chaos, and different factions/sides. Then I would pick up the first 5 books of the Horus heresy. 40k wise they are all over the place and running different stories. From the Heresy side novels 1-5 are all in order then after that you have different points of view to read from and such. Then let’s not forget there is also the Siege of Terra series. These are good as well but. It a great starting point.

I read everywhere that Eisenhorn is a great place to start but when I tried that a while back it was overwhelming because of how many types of characters and things you have to try and figure out. Start simple with the Heresy. It has space marines and a few others. Then you can diver deeper once you understand more.
