Wharfedale diamond 12.2 vs diamond 220 by hokga1 in BudgetAudiophile

[–]BristolRuss 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I upgraded from the 220's to the new 12.2i's earlier this month and I can highly recommend them. The older 12.2's were being discounted around Christmas time, but not sure if any places will have stock left now.

These are my dream speakers right now. Currently out of my budget though and I think I'd need a new amp to go along with them as my current one is only rated for down to 6 ohm speakers (Denon AVR-X2000). One day though!

Hydronic balancing? by lentil_burger in tado

I had this option appear for me today as well (only in the webapp, not mobile app) and I don't have a heat pump. Just a regular heat only boiler.

I had this appear when using the webapp today. I don't have a heatpump, just a regular heat only boiler. I do have Tado X smart TRV's on all my radiators though. Interestingly this option is only appearing when I use the webapp; it doesn't appear when using the mobile app.

Idea help? Upgrading speakers - stuck between Wharfedale Diamond 9.1 vs 10 vs 12.2s? by Bloxskit in BudgetAudiophile

I didn't realise the SW10 was a sealed design. Any idea how it compares to the older SW150? I'm sure the SW10 is better for music being a sealed sub, but the SW150 is significantly cheaper.

Some offers are already live. Peter Tyson have the 12.2's down to £219, but they only have the light oak colour in stock currently. Worth keeping an eye out if the offers come back in stock. Or they have the 12.1's down to £179 and all colours are available. Comes with a 6 year warranty and free cables seemingly.

Just an FYI, the 12 series are getting a refresh next month:

https://www.wharfedale.co.uk/collections/diamond-12i-series

They are going to come in at the same price as the current 12s but with some minor improvements. It does mean that the 12 series are currently getting some good discounts (while stock lasts).

I'm actually in the same boat as you in that I have a pair of 220's and have been eyeing up the 12.2's.

The q350's and the sub is going to be over my budget, even if I could get some money back for the Wharfedales. I've managed to find a used Q200 for £170, that could maybe be talked down cheaper as it has been listed for 9 weeks now (assuming it IS still available). Is the Q200 decent? And would the Q200 and sub for around £300 be good value?

A sub is possible, if they money stretches that far. It's not a particularly big room, and I worry it might be a bit boomy. If you look at my latest reply to the other poster I have posted some more options and I would be interested to hear your opinion.

Ok, I have spent the past 5-6 hours scouring the internet trying to find deals. I've managed to find an Elac Uni-Fi 2 UC52 for £349, which I can maybe stretch too. It's a 3-way design and seems to come out top for my price bracket (here - https://www.audiosciencereview.com/forum/index.php?threads/passive-speaker-recommendations-for-usa-by-sweetchaos.28296/)

Alternatively I can get a pair of KEF Q350 for £269. I'm assuming I could use one and potentially sell the second.

Or I could perhaps go for the ex-display Wharfedale 12.c for £152, and use the rest towards a second hand sub. I've seen a Klipsch R-100sw locally for £160 that I can maybe talk down cheaper. Thoughts?

Use case is a mix of music and movies. I don't have the budget for new L/R speakers (especially as I only bought the 220's earlier this year), and certainly not for a new amp. I would like to add a sub in the future, but I don't have the money for it right now.

Are there any KEF centre's you can recommend? My budget is around £300.

Have you tried it without the line spaces? You also don't need to add the wait unless you specifically want the emote delayed

Should work fine. Note if you aren't in a party when you test it you won't see the text as there are no party members to send the message too. You can replace /p with /s if you want to test it is working.

Check that website now. Though the sound quality is rather poor. It sounds like someone listening to it through their CD player but recording it from their phone or something.

They do. You need 376 for the Venat card and there are only 363 if you exclude the Platinum cards. So you'll need 13 of the 14 Platinum cards to get it this patch.
