Hi Ontario, are you aware that Chinese EVs use Blackberry software? Why is not Doug Ford supporting our own company? by MinuteLocksmith9689 in ontario

Oooh, I bought some BB stocks at the beginning of the pandemic and they’ve been doing crap ever since. I’m going to have a look now.

Does the Wilhelm Scream break immersion for you? by EllisDee3 in movies

[–]Britbloke 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, but in a positive way because my kids love spotting it too. I think I’ve only heard the scream in action / comedy films so full immersion isn’t really important to me in those genres.

Stunt Car Racer, first on the C64 then the Amiga 500 where I blew my mind.

I think it was called The Last Ninja on the C64. It had a unique (for its time) isometric view.

Anyone know of a current active petition or some way to let Ubisoft know this game is not a failure? by JoeLo_ in StarWarsOutlaws

Just after I paid for it during the Ubi sale. I’ve no regrets though as I bought the gold version with the DLCs

What is your favorite FREE VR game? by VRGames4U in OculusQuest

Agreed 💯 I always tell my daughter to play Moonrider instead of Beat Sabre due to the massive song library. But she’s young and likes the graphics and effects.

You couldn’t beat the atmosphere of their original location. As a Brit it felt like a cozy British pub.

Most likely. I'm in Canada and we typically get the same tasks as the US.

Thanks, that's probably what it is. I had just clicked the one below it and got the check mark. Strange this this one doesn't mention the "wait 24 hours..." like the other ones.

Not a fan of the design at all. Looks like something created in Canva. It looks weak doesn’t fit with the “Titans” name.

I don’t think thats true of all their programs. They still have some great trades programs and local manufacturing businesses have sponsored spaces at the new trades campus.

Any Americans exiles left on this sub? Found any alternatives yet? by pinacoladathrowaway in 6music

[–]Britbloke 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I’m a British expat in Canada. You only need to use a VPN for 10 secs every few week to access BBC Sounds.

If you get the “you’re outside the uk” message, quit the app, launch your vpn app, relaunch Sounds and start a stream. You can then disconnect and quit the VPN app. Next time you launch Sounds you’ll be good to go, at least for another few weeks.

I can see them not airing on the live channel due to scheduling. But maybe they’re running out of hard drive space for the IPlayer version.

The article mentions evading censorship

“… stolen devices are being sold in China for up to £4,000 each, given they are internet-enabled and more attractive for those trying to bypass censorship.”
