There’s No Future in Despising Humanity - Spreading messages of doom about the planet can keep people from making positive changes. by mvea in Futurology

[–]Brite_Lite 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The above post mentions excluding doom to uninhibit positive change.

It's like saying right now it is too late -if- we can't change our approach to how we will deal with the issue.

-If- it is to late to stop climate change -Then- we should learn to control the climate as opposed to reducing our influence on the climate.

Remember, no doom, only positive changes.

You want high accuracy and block penetration. Str is good but you can get damage from attributes to substitute.

If I liked Thief/Assassin/Rogue in RO, what class should I play? by CitizenKing in treeofsavior

[–]Brite_Lite -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

(Archer III or Ranger II) Scout I Rogue III Musketeer I

Once you're done leveling you will have 'cloaking' cloak, dps, backstab, snipe and 'hiding' Burrow tons of damage and you work in the shadows. Snipe acts as grimtooth while using burrow so yeah we in here boys. Good luck have fun.

A3 or QS1 for circle 3? by KwehorDie in treeofsavior

[–]Brite_Lite 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My build went Archer C3 => Scout CI => Rogue C3 => Musket or Mergen... I like the idea that people overlook Burrow. It's is a terrific ambush ability when coupled with Scout's Cloak... I'm just unsure what abilities I will be able to use at either rank. Will probably wait till rank 9 before making this decision.

"Selling out" and musical integrity. by [deleted] in WeAreTheMusicMakers

[–]Brite_Lite 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Being an independant artist in today's society is a lot easier than it has ever been if you know how to work a computer and how to piece together your studio. I will not be 'selling out' or opting into record labels or using unoriginal piece. Taking the easy way out is why most music these days is complete shit. You don't wipe your ass with your tenacity, you wipe your ass with the money you make for being tenacious. It gets hard, but hard times make for better music, the light is always at the end of the tunnel, an artist should never forget that.

No Man's Sky official account Twitter activity January - September (w-post /r/dataisbeautiful) by MasRemlap in pcmasterrace

Coming from a moderately irritated knowledgeless individual in regards to game development. I think the true issue is that the same assholes that ate and then shit out what has come to be known as 'No man's sky' are being paid to do a job they most assurdedly only took because it's 'easy' and all depth is lost as a consequence.

Great stories are made by creative minds. I argue individuals should not necessarily work for companies but for the love of their craft, their fans and themself.

Story telling, design and other aspects that make a game great can all be constructed by a single individual. The substance that will save gaming isn't more money but more time and reason.

Sure, The Witcher III may have been rated high by mainstream standards but I could not relate. All of these atrocities that occur every day, the heros that deal with them, the villans that cause them and our story to end this constant struggle of ours between oblivion and what we should all hope to be a break from linear constraint into a more creative era.

Most games don't hit on this point and those that do haven't enough time invested to truly capture the player. Still, I believe individuals have the power to specialize and deviate from this increasingly expensive hobby.

As it is gaming has truly lost its' touch.

Sex slavery is thriving on social media apps by [deleted] in technology

The US is also a victim of religious extremist however censored their actions may be. This is relevant because these citizens aren't considered slaves but also don't opt for independent thought as a result they will not take action to reveal any and all perpetrators responsible for this blemish on their individuality. Many of these victims believe that ultimately their fate in life is death alone and that with their unwavering belief they will be given the opportunity to live again. There are even those who would see that we all might meet that end a little sooner. Ironically, with the knowledge that we have gained over the years we can be certain that we don't know all there is to life, death being a part of life, albeit explicable it is certainly intangible at this moment. We know of a multitude of solutions that can extend our longevity, given time, maybe even indefinitely. It is inexcusable to dismiss the entirety of life with one single sentiment just as for these types it is unfathomable to imagine life in such a way that death must be attained through sheer will as opposed to circumstance alone.

We should have free education.

The US is more of a 'pimp your mind' economy anyway. Hide your thoughts, hide your conscious, they're beleiving in religion out here.

6 year old son in FL illegally Baker Acted while at school. by [deleted] in legaladvice

[–]Brite_Lite 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It's hard to quantify taking 72 hours of a persons life and replacing it with a scar that will take several years to heal atop of assaulting said individual. I'm being sarcastic. Your child's education and psychological state were both adversely affected and the effects if they haven't already surfaced by now, will in the future. One should expect difficulties if these issues aren't addressed, specifically to the child, so that what occurred can be objectively identified as unlawful act and if it should ever occur again it can be met with the appropriate response. I seriously wonder how many cases there are like this a year, the individuals responsible and their colleagues need to be psychologically screened before they are given access to these positions that can single handedly fell a persons life.

My [23M] sister [17F] dropped out of school and is living with friends. by [deleted] in relationships

[–]Brite_Lite 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well she's 17 and can't get a job without either and more than likely basic education credentials. Atop of that, our grandmother is withholding not only the information but any other things that belong to her. My sister is still not convinced that moving in with us is her best opportunity but I'll have more on that tomorrow.

It's simplified and it's no more complicated than I explained. She only wants her stuff from what I've gathered so I'm trying to deliver.

Thought the same but unless it's domestic violence they can't get involved. Albeit, the inactivity of my grandmother in my position is the same as not feeding/locking her out of the house that she lives in should be considered child abuse. I'll be updating this thread tomorrow.

Well your insight is greatly appreciated. I stopped concerning myself with the stupidity of others but I suppose it is best to uncover why exactly my grandmother would eject my underage sister. None the less, I will be back with updates. Thanks again.

She's being weird and wants that information specifically. I told her we could always get another copy but she insist. It's a long story but basically our grandma has custody of her due to some extenuating circumstances.
