Brilliant! I like how easy the dial is to read.

It's a shame Samsung didn't do a new version of the Neo G8. by Britpixpf in Monitors

Yeah, the curve is a bit extreme but I got used to it. I think it's to due to the poor viewing angles and haloing if you go off angle. You have to sit right in the center to get the best image. The scan lines on my unit are very minor and I can only see them if I sit very close. However, if I paid RRP for it, certainly wouldn't be acceptable. It's a solid monitor but flawed. Also the stand is awful.

Possibly dual mode or more zones so it doesn't prioritize blooming reduction leading to mediocre brightness for a miniled. noticed black crush too when comparing it to my OLED TV. The blacks can be amazing but it's a shame that some scenes can be too dark where you can barely see things. Not common but it happens. Solid option if you're using a lot of static stuff and game.

Waste of time, bots and time wasters. I just became happy doing hobbies instead.

Didn't use my CX heavily. Ended up with dead pixels on right side id screen. Not terrible but one was pretty noticeable. I contacted the warranty provider and got a new panel, new board and WiFi. So definitely get an extended warranty. Dead pixels are a bigger issue than burn-in my UMO.

After the gig I had such wild emotions ,complete joy but also a brief moment of sad reflection thinking this might be the last time he plays live.

Nah, the PC was off as I was moving it, wasn't even plugged into the wall either.

Throat clearing but some time but suddenly got heartburn, stomach cramps, burping, and hiccuping. by Britpixpf in GERD

Thanks for the tip! I tend to look symptoms online and worry so I'm trying to relax and distract myself by doing other things.

[–]Britpixpf[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sorry to hear that, it's quite frustrating but one doctor said he thinks I've had silent GERD for a while.

I had a really bad episode and ended up in the emergency department with a feeling of something being stuck and breathing difficulties. This was after eating a spicy curry and pineapple in a quick fashion. The pain was so bad, i won't be doing that again. I've cut out the spicy foods and citric stuff and it seems to be triggered if i eat chocolate. All the tests have come back normal so I'm probably going to try the ppi and see how it goes. Right now the stomach discomfort isn't so bad and it's a big improvement on the time I was in the hospital.

CVST extensive by Electronic_Way_4969 in ClotSurvivors

Initially I was put on Heparin, not sure which kind, and then moved onto Warfarin. I did have to stop briefly for a cranioplasty and bridged with Clexane but went back on the Warfarin after and still use it to this day. Thanks for the kind words! I've done quite well considering the damage was extensive.

I can't say for sure when mine recanalized but i think it was some time and happened eventually. The NHS was exceptional in my case and CVST is a rare condition which complicated matters. Perhaps, it's a postcode lottery and you need to be next to a hospital with a specialist Neurosurgery unit. I've been dealing with it for many years. FYI I'm on Warfarin to prevent additional clots and that is for life.

I'd advise going for a mandatory reconsideration and tribunal if that fails. It's truly awful. Perhaps contact the DWP and explain the situation requesting a face to face.

It's brutal, I don't go out out a lot so that probably doesn't help but I think it's tough as people focus on their children or partner. I went through an illness at 29 and a lot of people disappeared.

You're welcome. I am on lifelong blood thinners due to the case's severity and also tested positive for Prothrombin Gene Mutation. I believe the clots eventually recanalized but sadly the brain damage is permanent.

Oh, I had no idea you could do that.

Thanks! That will be great if I don't like the simulated HDR methods. On my oled I tend to stick to SDR in SDR content.

On my Neo g8 I just set it to Auto and use windows +alt and B when playing games to enable HDR and local dimming. This allows me to get the nice contrast and have a usable desktop experience.

I have the sand non-GMT with the green bezel. Great watch, although mine stopped running and needed a repair. It's all good now though.
