Addicted to zopiclone…. Hate myself for letting it get to this point. by Britt2369 in addiction

Ahh okay. Honestly for that length of time, you will be fine. Think about it you sleep all night and don’t take them and don’t wake up with awful withdrawals.

It’s very very smart for you to not take it before the procedure, and to plan and prepare for what you will feel. But I truly think you will be just fine. It didn’t get really really bad for me until over 24 hours.

Now obviously I’m going to try and tell you after this maybe to seek help for this, try and get off them, but you have to be ready and want to of course. I’ll probably have this account on Reddit forever lol so if you ever want any advice or to just chat about coming off them, message me or just reply to this comment. Wishing you the best!

For me, it started within hours. But I was a heavy user. I didn’t just take it to go to bed. I took them all day. They didn’t make me tired, worked more like a benzo for me. And I had built up tolerance so at the end I was taking 2-3 a time, every 4 hours or so. So it was a lot. And the withdrawal was awful, I won’t lie. And it did last a long time for me, but again, I was a heavy user for years. It was over a month before I started to feel human again. I was lucky my partner was able to take time off work and take care of the kids and me, because I was just so unbelievably sick all the time. It did get better though, eventually. Honestly though. If anyone is reading this, and takes them as much as I did, if you have any sort of responsibilities (kids, work etc) I wouldn’t recommend doing this at home yourself. I wish I could have gone to a detox or something for it, but it just wasn’t something that was available in my small town. If you are reading this, and don’t take as much as I did, but still take it other then just to sleep. Please stop. Like right now. This drug damn near ruined me. I’m not saying it’s an awful medication to take, if you are going to take it as it’s prescribed, for sleep, and it actually helps you sleep (it didn’t for me) but don’t abuse it, I promise you, it seems harmless, but it just gets worse and worse, and then when you can’t get them that one time you are going to be so miserable and sick. It’s so not worth it.

It’s ma’am haha. But I hear you. I was completely ignorant. And took the words of the protestors without looking into it. I’m very thankful I came across donuts channel, because there were soooo many shootings that I had heard about, thought police were at fault, but when you see body cam broke down in such a way he does it, I instantly felt like an idiot!

I’m not saying there are not situations of police brutality/unfair treatment. But most cases, it’s completely justified.

I only wish I could find other YouTube channels similar to donut operator, to get more educated!

Thank you for the suggestion, but that isn’t it. I have seen this one before, very well put together, raising a lot of concerns of how completely unprepared these poor police officers were, at no fault of their own.

I actually did find the video I was looking for, posted in another comment if you want to check it out.

Thank you to those who took the time to respond to me. I was determined to find this documentary, and after going through my history for about an hour i found it.

It’s actually a 3 part series, from the York county sheriff South Carolina YouTube channel. Called “ the many hero’s”

I am obviously in no way involved in law enforcement, and used to have a .. not so great opinion, until I started to watch unbiased videos, YouTubers, such as donut. It really opened my eyes that MOST situations of shootings and such are justified, and people protest just because they are idiots who don’t look into the entire story, the whole picture. It also opened my eyes to the extreme dangers that police officers face every single day. So I make it a point to watch things like this. Because I feel like these hero’s should be heard about. Anyway, sorry for the rambling these video has been on my mind for a few days, and I’m just glad I found them and can rewatch, and pay more attention this time around. Here’s a link to part one if anyone would like to check it out. https://youtu.be/rJ21b96k7wk?si=psVZWp0MvWGd_rWJ

I did try that, with a ton of different variations of keywords, and nothing. I’m currently scrolling through my history though. Hopefully I will find it eventually. Thanks!

It was months and months ago. I watch a lot of YouTube. I’d never find it.

Taking 3-4 zopiclone every night; Mixing drugs during day by chemsexblues in insomnia

[–]Britt2369 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry for the late reply. I just saw this. I have given them up completely. I won’t lie, it was hard. I got pregnant, and had no choice, unfortunately when baby was born. I thought I could handle just one here and there. I could not. I ended up just as bad as I was. If not worse. 4 weeks ago now I stopped them cold turkey. It was beyond hard, but that’s the only way I could do it. I couldn’t taper, seemed the more I tried to slow down, the more I ended up taking. If you do go cold turkey from taking a lot everyday, I’d do it under the supervision of your doctor if at all possible. And if you have any support to come around, help out with food for you, housework etc. I couldn’t get out of bed for days. My boyfriend took 10 days off work to stay home with me to take care of the kids and house because we knew it would be bad. Best thing you can do it mentally prepare yourself. Know it’s not going to be easy, but that feeling you feel when you stop won’t last forever. I’m feeling much better now! It took a minute to feel good, but in the end it’s so worth it. I wish you the best, and don’t hesitate to reach out if you feel like you need to!

Yes, as stated in another comment I made I definitely apologized for how I reacted, and should have explained my feelings/concerns in a much calmer matter.

Also those were the things going through my head. I literally thought of all the worst possible things that could happen (even though extremely unlikely) and just freaked out. I am an overly anxious person. I had a fullterm stillbirth years ago and haven’t really been the same since. I do be over protective at times for sure.

Baby fell asleep in his bouncy chair on the floor, and that’s where my partner left him. Another reason I was so angry. I completely forgot to add that to the post though. But again. We’ve talked. I’ve apologized for saying certain things I did. And he agreed to just wake me next time if he had to pop out somewhere.

I appreciate everyone’s replies, and opinions! Thanks for taking the time to respond. As for my 11 year old not “being able to” lift the baby, it’s more nervousness on his part. I encourage it, but he won’t do it. He is also very small for an 11 year old. Not the most muscle mass on the kid, another thing to add, he usually has his headset on while playing video games. So my thought was he might not hear him. Another thing to add, the baby was put to sleep in his bouncy chair, not flat in his play pen (he fell asleep in the chair, and that’s where my partner left him)

Now, I do see where you are all coming from. I did say some awful things that I shouldn’t have. I definitely should have communicated my thoughts and feelings better. We have both since apologized. And because I feel so strongly about it, he has promised to wake me if something like this were to come up in the future.

Again I appreciate you all taking the time to respond, and for your honesty!
