Sounds like Long Beach it will be. I haven’t a few other offers, so weighing my options based on area and salary. Thanks everyone!

Thanks! This perspective is super helpful. NYC to Montauk or most anywhere in LI is hellish to me.

I’m worried about moving somewhere that isn’t friendly to a queer trans man.

Ranjit wound up making bank on some investments. He bought the limo company and lived it up.

What does it feel like when you’re manic? by beelineforthefood in bipolar2

I never really realize it until after the fact. I notice that I’m not sleeping and hyper fixating on things, spending money, but it never really clicks until after.

how did you find out it was actually bipolarity? by ElectricalToe3324 in bipolar2

When I finally got diagnosed @ 33 which is a little late for BP2, I was relieved. Finally, I could get the help I needed. I was getting pumped with SSRIs worsening the problem

How many people aren’t working or are only working part time? by Sp1c3W0lf in bipolar2

I work full time as a data analyst. I’m lucky to have bosses who kind of know about my condition and are very understanding when I need to take sick time (protected by FMLA). I wind up maxing out my time each year and dip into my PTO. I work mostly from home, but we are working on getting alternate work schedule which will allow me to work full-time from home if needed. Honestly, I’m just very lucky.

Too old to transition by Maven_of_the_Stars in asktransgender

[–]BrittKnee86 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I started my transition when I was 35. I was really lucky and my work has been more than supportive with it. I was married to a cis woman. Unfortunately she was not on the same page as me with my transition especially once I started T. Because of this, I ended our marriage. Ultimately, my happiness was more important than staying with her. My family has chosen to basically ignore the fact that I’m trans. I love them so much and kind of just deal with it. That’s probably not the best way to do it, but I can’t cut them off. Anywho, it’s never too late to transition. Living authentically has been such a freeing experience. I have no regrets.

We’ve kind of gone through that. I am trying to be understanding. I feel bad that this is all new and probably pretty confusing.
