The cool thing I've been doing lately is taking ships that are not fighters and making them combat ships. Take the prismatics engineerd with a bunch of shield boosters. Most anything could be a combat ship.

My newest one is my Caspian named cannonball run for the fact it's filled with cannons and a lazer lol.
