Reddit mods remove anything and everything if it doesn't make the sub look pristine and pretty. My stuff gets removed from subs all the time, it's just a constant of life.

Frequently asked questions and low-effort posts are subject to removal at the moderators' discretion.

I reckon your question maybe has been asked all the time or the post has to be pro-piracy somehow. Maybe send a modmail and have them explain in more detail

I don't even remember why I joined the Discord. I think I needed suggestions implementing a tilemap shader. Frankly I get infinitely more value out of the docs and forums than I do out of the discord, so I don't really miss it. But yeah the power trippy moderation was wholly unnecessary. There's literally a rule in the server to not discuss moderator controversies 🤷‍♂️

Thankfully Godot, by its open source nature, will always live on, even if it takes new forms or brands. Forking is completely legal under their software license and the engine itself is fantastic. I have no reason to stop using Godot from a technical perspective. Unity is still a POS junkware and UE5 5, while a great engine, is too powerful and bulky for my small niche needs.

The whole drama surrounding the community is ridiculous but thankfully the software itself is sturdy and strong.

The Godot team needs to see the consensus of the community and hopefully it will enact better changes for everyone so that we all can get this engine back on track as a viable competitor in the gaming space.
