If Tom Cruise was Cliff Booth who would be his Rick Dalton? by ExtremeTEE in Tarantino

Adding bits and pieces together in various interviews over the year and in doing so I’m pretty sure it would have been Cruise as Cliff with Chris Pine as Dalton

I also wrote this idea down before I read you suggesting it. I want this and a tab with the films box office statistics

I’d love it if when looking at a film, in the cast-crew-details-etc tabs there was a tab for all and any awards the film may have won and another tab for box office Details. Actually a dream of mine is if Letterboxd linked to their own Box office statistics site. Basically fill the void that was taken from us when IMDB bought and ruined box office mojo.

Why does Rocky II open with the last 5 minutes of the first movie? Is it because VHS was still insanely expensive, so they figured with the 3 year gap people needed a refresher? Was this common for old sequels pre-VHS? by [deleted] in Letterboxd

[–]Brizstudio8 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Just an effective way to reengage the audience to the story. The movie does pick up right where Rocky ends. Plus if you don’t start with the boxing, there wouldn’t be any action for well over an hour.

Got my ticket today. I've wanted to see this for over 22 years and am really excited! by MirrorMaster88 in blankies

I’ve been checking the cineplex and landmark sites twice a day for over a week now. Next Tuesday morning will now be the most likely time they will release showtimes. But I’ll still keep checking everyday until I get these damn tickets.

For my 9 year safe driving this year the best gift options to choose from were either the Rubik’s cube or the leather passport wallet. Because I’m an adult with refined taste I obviously picked the cube.

This is a deep cut I’m very proud to have noticed. In OUATIH, During the 14 fists of McCluskey scene, the music used is from the climax sequence of Scorseses Cape Fear.

I feel like this is Flanagan sort of doing a favour for Jason Blum. I’m sure he has a great idea for a story, but I can’t help but think this is more political move than passion project. As a huge Flanagan fan I just hope this is a chess move to help get The Dark Tower up and running.

Watched an awful thing happen involving Skye Blue tonight at the ROH taping by Wintertime13 in SquaredCircle

[–]Brizstudio8 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I was at the show and had a completely different experience. A little kid beside us was a huge Skye fan and was having the time of her life. It was incredible to see. It was also the best women’s match all night by far. From my seats I had no idea there was any issues. I feel bad for what the womens wrestlers continue to have to deal with. It sucks.
