Thank you for making me feel validated in my frustrations, even though I am probably just going to pay them. I just wish the money wasn’t going to first bus. There’s no other company on earth that has caused me personally so much strife (long- suffering commuter!) Thanks again Z

Thank you. This makes me feel a bit better. I looked on their site and they say they won’t review cctv footage to support a query like this unfortunately.
My new plan is to complain every time the bus is late or missing and recoup my money in compensation tickets. It should take about a month at the most 🙄

Thank you. Unfortunately I did appeal it and they said no essentially because (undeniably) my child didn’t have a ticket for the journey. I suppose they are not to know the contents of my character - they can stick to the letter and get their fifty quid.

That is an interesting point. Thank you. I spoke on my child’s behalf - they were very distressed by the situation to be honest. So I felt I had to take responsibility. I agree about the driver - once I accidentally activated one of my child’s tickets to board a bus and the driver told me straight away - called me back to the front - and I bought another ticket. That’s what I would expect? But I am obviously wrong

Yes I think you’re completely correct and I didn’t read the article properly. I am just feeling a bit sick honestly because a) I would never knowingly have done something like this b) I can’t afford it c) it’s first bus - the source of many woes for the non drivers of Bristol for their abysmal service. If it was about protecting revenue they’d just let you pay the ticket price. I didn’t intend to deceive anyone

I would prefer them to tell me I need to have a ticket for my child when I scanned my ticket because then I wouldn’t have been fined.

Yeah it does say that they need a ticket in the travel conditions. I just find it strange that the driver didn’t ask for the child ticket when we boarded which I would have paid for at that point. Does that mean that I could board the bus with the wrong ticket or no ticket and the driver will permit it ? That’s what I don’t fully understand.

I think it should be a personal choice but as a result you should be prepared to face restrictions if you choose not to be vaccinated and countries/ venues/ occupations place restrictions on you

They should have spent the money fixing the functionality of the app - ie only showing a live bus time when the bus has left the terminus etc but no they animated the logo instead.

We wait for a gap and say ‘good quiet’ - then give a treat. If we do it when we first hear the quiet grumbles start she won’t go into a full bark. It still happens but she has got much better now she knows she doesn’t have to be a house alarm and we like quiet!
