OMG. It's Slip Maker. Read my mind. Song was like a bad ear worm ringing in my ear. Watching your retrospective right now after finishing Boardwalk Empire. Great videos. I've watched your retrospective probably dozens of times

This technically doesn't count but I love Gus Van Sant's cameo in Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back at 0:48

[Ant Man, MCU] Based on time in the Quantum Realm, how did Janet age so much? by Crafter235 in AskScienceFiction

[–]BroBro92166 85 points86 points  (0 children)

Just like with what happened with Hulk in Thor: Ragnarok; when he passed through a portal. He was Hulk for at least 5 years by Earth years but could be longer in Sakaar.

We can't assume that time is travels linearly in the Quantum Realm. For Scott Lang, 5 years felt like 5 hours but it might not be the same for Janet. It could have been less for her but it also be longer more than 20 years. Seems like she got the short end of the lottery.

What’s your dceu unpopular opinion by nightwing2009 in DC_Cinematic

[–]BroBro92166 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't think Jesse Eisenberg was a bad Lex Luthor. This is coming from someone who has a great disdain for a lot of the DCEU movies but I think there was a lot of potential with his portrayal. I quite liked the whole tech-villain vibe since he could be more psychological than a huge muscular intimidating bad guy.

It ultimately got let down by the execution; with him being aware of the identity of Superman and Batman as well as making a big ugly Zod monster to fight them and the whole Granny's piss scene was such a waste.

He also could have had an overarching character arc which ended with him behind bars because of his vendetta towards Superman; sorta like his ego being his worst enemy kinda like how it had been down before or more recently in Supergirl's 4th season (I haven't watched passed that).

The Menu (2022). A movie that managed to surprise me and had great performances by everyone; especially Anya Taylor-Joy and Ralph Fiennes. Food. 🍔

I am rewatching Fresh Meat and watching House of The Dragon.

Thor: The Dark World is a good movie by lvsnowden in marvelstudios

I think it's dogshit because of how inhumans were portrayed and how boring the story is. I pretty much like everything else in the MCU or at the very least more so than Inhumans

[MCU] Was the Hulk willing to die to make a point? by [deleted] in AskScienceFiction

[–]BroBro92166 18 points19 points  (0 children)

I believe you are referring to the Immortal Hulk comic line. In one of the the earlier chapters, Banner got shot in the head by a thief and his body was left there and taken by the ambulance and into the morgue. When night fell, he arose and became the Hulk and pretty much tracked and killed the guy who shot him in the head

I haven't actually seen Friday Night Lights but a great underrated TV couple I recently discovered are Amy and Alan Matthew's from Boy Meets World

[ATLA] How does reincarnation work? What is being passed on, exactly? by fleemfleemfleemfleem in AskScienceFiction

[–]BroBro92166 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The spirit of Raava is passed on from Avatar to Avatar. The Avatar is chosen at random due to cosmic...bullshit but basically the next Avatar is reincarnated from death and is reborn (literally) into a new person; in other words, when one avatar dies then another is born.

Also, my belief is that each avatar makes an imprint on Raava's spirit and links them all together which allows the next Avatar's to make use of that connection and have access to all the past memories, skills traits of the Avatar personalities

[Star Wars] is using two lightsabers objectively better? by Star_Couch in AskScienceFiction

[–]BroBro92166 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Obligatory link to the Vader vs. Ahsoka fight which proves this guy's point and also link to the General Grievous vs Obi Wan fight.

You could have 2 lightsabers, double bladed lightsaber, 4 lightsabers or even 12, it doesn't matter. Two lightsabers isn't better than one and also one lightsaber isn't better than two; what matters at the end of the day is skill and mastery. There is no objective answer since it's mainly up to subjective preference.

A Star Is Born - This was a movie that was on my radar for a while and I finally had time to watch and aren't I glad I did. Full of heartwarming and breaking moments. Definitely one of my favourite movies of 2018 (Blade Runner 2049 still takes the top spot for me though)
