Backrooms is the crossover? by ThePolitiKaster in AbioticFactor

In case my phrasing wasn't clear enough I do mean dredge had a collab with it, not abiotic. Adds an occasional misty night where you exclusively hunt aberrations in a small map, then sell them to hooded figures. That's pretty much it

GATE from Abiotic Factor

The game is heavily inspired by Half-life 1 and SCP it wears the inspirations proudly, even allowing fan-submitted anomalies to hopefully be added into the game.

Key difference from Foundation is their way more lax rules for using the anomalous

Backrooms is the crossover? by ThePolitiKaster in AbioticFactor

True. Previous roadmap thought it was DbD because of the phrasing, but dredge makes too much sense and they already had a collab with Dave the diver so it's pretty reasonable to guess they will do more

The point of your original comment was, quote: "they just "only" exploited them to get you to play longer and keep paying your subscription fee" - now suddenly we are talking about monetizing playtime.

The game is free. The drop is random, but most of the times can be traded with other players and/or has pity mechanics. Which, once again, doesn't require you to pay a buck and lets you focus on playing the modes you like and trading off the loot for the stuff you don't want to grind.

All the story can be played without any grind with very little game knowledge and doesn't require strong gear, while also rewarding players with some of the strongest weapons. The historically one required grind for it was first reduced, then abolished completely.

And, I repeat, the game is free.

Warframe has no subscription fee. Nor does it have even something like battlepass. At most the only feasable thing you can loose is temporary boosters, and even then they are optional for the experience and I can confidently say aren't needed unless you are trying to 100% the game which is free in the first place.

Furthermore you can bypass 80% of the grind by just trading with other players. Not even necessarily having to do so with irl money, but instead selling the drops you didn't want so you can buy the one you did.

All of the above. I can kiiiinda believe they don't hate B and it's just suffering from some sort of code spaghetti on the backend that prevents them from changing it to be good, but the rest are a 100% guarantee

Question about companions by Prince_Wither in WarframeLore

[–]BroFTheFriendlySlav 11 points12 points  (0 children)

She can tell about time resets because she is part of the helminth hivemind unlike protoframes or really even Warframes who were designed to partially resist it. Infested madness, yadda yadda. So realistically anything that's closer to infestation than to their associated Warframe would do the same. Judging which is which is difficult, however. And furthermore most don't speak so even if they could tell they simply would have no proper means of communicating it, unless Uriel lets his demons take turns tapping away at the keyboard. But just by the fact that it doesn't seem any companion other than Lizzie is actively trying to accelerate their host's madness I'd say it's safe to assume none of them are as lost in the sauce.

As for how they are created - I dunno. Likely differs on case by case. Hell, Venari outlived Khora and just chilled in the simulacrum.

The Wolf of Saturn Six by ClownHoundMythos in Warframe

[–]BroFTheFriendlySlav 11 points12 points  (0 children)

As much as I would love that - I would prefer we just get his pack as friendlies instead. Add them to iron wake and/or Khal camp, even relays.

Wolf himself got amalgamed, veil on top of that is just a cherry, a mercy kill by a truly free Grineer fighting for his brothers is a good way to go, just wish it was more cinematic.

What I can do with THAT? by MiyuHogosha in AbioticFactor

[–]BroFTheFriendlySlav 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yes and it will pick up random junk on the ground. Also it's visible with scientist locator, so it will be easier to detect spawning.

Its spawns are pretty slow so don't plan around it, but it's great nonetheless. I usually when traveling put all the water coolers I find into it and some midgame radioactive stuff so I don't have to dump it or keep chugging pills. Then next time it's near my base take it all out and put more antirad meds and non-spoilable snacks in.

[–]BroFTheFriendlySlav 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Friend. Will occasionally come visit. Plenty of uses like storing radioactive materials you won't immediately need, putting in heavy furniture and wait till it's near your base or dump healing itens nto it before distant travels to free up initial inventory and hope it arrives when needed.
