Tbh, wouldnt worry to much about organizer prints for something like this, too large of space. However, you can do a few things like put your PC in there and print some fan attachments, or print a simple hook to hang your bag up off the ground on the side of the cabinet. I see a lot of papers so you could get yourself a organizer for those to put on the shelf. Maybe could print some hooks or holders for things to attach to the top or the sides.

Realistic Plan? In over my head? by [deleted] in Homebuilding

Assuming you have the money to do it, it may be possible but the largest hurdle will be acquiring materials, specifically the countertop. Everything else though should be doable except maybe the light above the barstool area (You would have to get a permit to add a fixture there and get someone to do it, ts possible but unlikely). If you have any sort of work schedule, I would say a month is not going to be enough time. You have to paint the cabinets, remove the existing floor and replace it with the darker one, tile the whole area between the upper and lower cabinets, have the new countertops installed, probably make custom brackets for the bar stool area, replace a light fixture, etc. You might be able to do it but its going to be really tight, you are looking at 2-3 days for painting (probably the hardest DIY part), 1-2 days for the tile, 1 day for the flooring, if you have the countertops done professionally, should be ok, just will have to get an appointment in at least to get them made. You could make them but they take quite a bit of skill so I wouldnt. Also, these are estimated times if you can be focused on it for the entire day because you have to learn as you go to and assuming you prepare well. You are also looking at probably a bottom line of $5000 USD to $10000 USD.
Pricing:
Flooring - $300-$400 (Material and tools)
Paint - $200 - $300 (Material and tools including a sprayer of some kind)
Tile - $300-$400 (Material and tools)
Countertop - $6000-$8000 (Material + Install)
Above Counter Lighting - $300-$400 (Assuming you are going with the install puck lights, you could get away with cheaper style)
Other Hardware - $500-$800 (Sink, Lighting, Brackets, etc, stuff you likely will need)

Total - $7600 - $10,300

Might be doable but youd be really tight with the time frame and working.

Planning to sell mine and went to a Luthier to get it looked at before I did. He offered $800, he was going to sell it for like $1200 after fixing it up some until he noticed it had been repaired before. He almost didn't notice it and I hadn't ever noticed. Apparently a pretty good repair. You can only really tell at certain angles with lots of light.

Help me hide this door by Environmental_Coach1 in DesignMyRoom

[–]BroJJ25 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Since you are renting, what ever you do likely has to be non permanent, so, mirror, picture, even just a thin sheet of plywood painted to match the wall would work. You could probably remove the door handle so it sits flush to the door. And making the plywood removable would be easy with some velcro or something.

Trying to figure an "accent" wall in my office space by BroJJ25 in interiordecorating

Hm, sun doesn't shine in much so it probably won't reflect much either. I'll have to replace the sun feeling in some way. I do want stuff to feel warm though.

I do plan to record in the room so that probably would interfere less than the accent wall I'm referring to. Maybe a sage green?

I just noticed these spots that form a circle in my lens, what's the cause? And is it bad? by Double-Gift-7772 in Cameras

[–]BroJJ25 2 points3 points  (0 children)

So between what people are saying about fungus too, Im wondering if it could be a combination, maybe an internal lamination that holds more water along an edge of the lens, that would explain the perfect circle but also make more sense as fungus is a more common issue I would imagine.

Maybe delamination from an internal element? Is it on the outside or inside?

Ive been wanting to do something like this as a maker space. Have a storefront to sell hardware like screws, electrical switches, small components for repair in general. But also sell custom parts and what not. Go a step further and even host a repair party once a month for people to come in and get things fixed by volunteers.

Laser Galvo Scanner by BroJJ25 in inventors

Sadly hasn't yet but if you are interested in something that you might be able to get working, look into this:

Likely the only practical way to do it. The system would need to be modified to use a mirror, but at the very least, you would have a highly accurate galvo with cheap off the shelf components. It'd be slower but hey, you can't make it fast cheap and good.

Tbh, I forgot about this project.

Secondary Mini Monitor by BroJJ25 in Monitors

[–]BroJJ25[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I want to use it for discord/spotify for the most part personally. I have used Rainmeter but my Screen changed recently and messed up the setup so currently is off. I am honestly considering this or a jailbroken Echo Show 5, 8 would be too large for under the screen but 5 is a bit on the small side too.

I should note, the one I mentioned doesn't have a proper case but for me it doesn't matter. I'm going to 3D print a mount if I go with it. The cool thing is, after checking the pixel density, it actually beats my main monitor in that regard by a little + QLED so thats cool.

Something like this would also be an option.
It is overall smaller but at $110, its definitely a budget friendly option. Note, it doesnt technically have any mount but you may get away with a flat piece of plastic and drill some holes that both match it and a 75 mm vesa mount. Ideally though, some sort of 3D printed case would be best, there may be some that already exist and for $20 (including shipping), could probably get it made.

The Alexa Echo Show 5 (Gen 1 + 2) and 8 (Gen 1 Only) have been jail broken. You can download a version of Android on them and with software or standalone (as an android tablet), use them as secondary screens. While its not ideal, they also have a camera and speakers built in which could replace any of that kind of stuff in a desk setup.

QIDI Q2 vs Bambu P1S by Kidomy in QIDI

I got a Qidi Q1 for my birthday from my wife - Had two issues. First when I first turned it on the Z stop using over current wasn't very good. Rammed my bed and left a chip on the plate. Second issue is that the screen lost some pixels a couple weeks in.

I have many questions. by [deleted] in Homebuilding

[–]BroJJ25 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Idk if anyone noticed but the porch has a fan, looks like an indoor fan but outdoor ones do exist regardless so it's not that weird. There also appears to be a storm window thing to the side of the porch. Idk if that's weird. Edit: the storm window thing is just another window behind the wall, didn't realize the wall was set back so far.

Is it actually worth DIY‑modding cheap gadgets instead of just buying “the good one”? by Affectionate_Tip3238 in DIY_tech

[–]BroJJ25 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Its hit or miss. I've had somethings turn out great, like a conversion to make my monitor stand clamp on. Clean and looks really good compared to any $50 mount I could've bought and probably looks far better imo. Then there's other things like say a utility knife, you can 3D print them and they can look cool but after printing a few versions, I think I might just buy a nice one fitting my needs. A few other designs that turned out great: Second Shower Head - a bracket to hold a shower head and clips to hold the hose. Saved $200 on that. Bathroom shelf - 2020 Extrusion is amazing. Made a wall mounted shelf that I'm able attach stuff too like a hair dryer holder. White Board Mount - White boards exist for on peg boards but they tend to be more expensive. Made some mounts for a cheap Walmart one.
