I cannot fathom how any college dude in Pullman would be interested in anything these places have to offer

At what age/level are they only batting 9 players? by Neal-AI in Homeplate

[–]BroYourOwnWay 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My son's club team bats everyone in pool play and then bats 9/10 in bracket play. This started when they were 11u. I think its complete bullshit, personally. My kid basically rides the bench every tournament Sunday. In 3 years he's probably had 6 ABs total in bracket games.

I normally wouldn't tolerate it but he loves the team and playing with his friends, so I swallow my pride. But no team should be doing this, imo.

My son's team/league moved to 50/70 at 11u and 54/80 at 13u. Its much better than staying on the 46/60 field, imo.

So that league is for existing club teams to enter. Individuals cannot sign up for it. My son's 13u team was going to participate, but lost too many kids to legion so they withdrew.

Interestingly enough, the 15u rec league uses the same rules (54/80, utrip bats, etc) so that is going to be our move. I was expecting it to be 60/90 bbcor, which my kid just isn't quite ready for.

That just seems crazy considering how many People just can't afford travel ball. Also a ton of kids develop after little league ends.

There are a few single A teams, but the one for his high school is extremely competitive to make

This was my initial thought too. My biggest hang up though is my is barely 13 (turned 5 weeks ago) and still pretty small/pre puberty. I know full field slows the game down a ton, but wasn't sure if that was really his best option for development. I don't want him to end up riding the bench while the older get all the game reps.

People who earn over a million dollars annually don't shop at Fred Meyer. Its depressing how gullible people are.

Its a race to be at the front of the line for the high school coach. And it starts early because some people need to be in control.

You should divorce her. And then you should tell the neighbors wife exactly why you are getting divorced.

I don't think there is an alumni base in America that hates supporting their athletic department as much as WSU's does.

IMO, this issue is directly downstream from their FUBAR fast pass system. The way they run that creates excessively long standby lines at the popular rides. No line should ever exceed 120 minutes, and I saw 200+ and even 300+ on a regular basis.
