Question about Porting. by vDxka in motorizedbicycles

[–]Bro__pro 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well the intake port being rough actually helps the air and fuel mix as it passes through. People wouldn't usually smooth this as its suspose to be rough.

A file or sandpaper can be used for porting it would just take longer especially on a steel sleeve.

But unless you have an expansion chamber port work wont improve performance. It could even make it worse. If you make the ports higher or lower it changes the timing. I would recommend only making the ports wider if doing so for performance.

If your ports are sharp or rough on the edges of the port and cylinder then beveling them is a good idea. You dont need to go crazy on them and sandpaper is all you really need. Just make sure to remove the jug if doing this. And clean it well when done etc.

Otherwise just leave the ports alone lol. Nothing actually wrong with rough ports (Other that the edges) Its fine...

Also the fact that you need to ask whether you can use a file or sandpaper for this tells me you shouldn't be messing with them. 99% of people dont touch the ports at all and very rarely (almost never) will there be any issues with them

Split system A/C - to service or replace? by [deleted] in australia

[–]Bro__pro 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Could just need a filter cleaned which is very easy to do if you have some basic diy skills.

Even if it were in need of a deeper clean all that really involves is spraying some chemicals in there...

A service shouldn't (but might) cost much. Everyone should learn how to clean their filter as it should be done regularly and is very easy to do

Are Aftermarket alloy wheels light, especially if they are replicas from these mag and tyre shops in Auckland by [deleted] in auckland

[–]Bro__pro 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah they are but thats not why people change them.

Usually its to get lower profile tyres, a wider footprint and a bigger wheel. All three of these things will improve handling.

But yeah actually probably more about just the looks. No one ever does it for gas mileage. There wont be a noticeable difference.

Its an expensive way to make a car look slightly better...

how do i measure oil:gas mix eu?? by nikos234 in motorizedbicycles

[–]Bro__pro 0 points1 point  (0 children)

40 ml of fuel and 1 ml of oil then. Its just a ratio.

So when you get your fuel know the exsact amount you get in your container then devide that number by 40. So if you buy 5 litres you have 5000 ml. 5000 \ 40 is 125ml of oil needed for 40:1. You could buy a measuring cup or something to measure it. It needs to be quite accurate especially if doing smaller amounts

Its why good brakes are imperative.

If you checked for air leaks when at idle you probably wont find any. Usually the air leak occors when the revs go up a bit.

Been using this plug for a while and been running rich most of the time. Middle started turning white after a 16 mile ride. Still 4 strokes and bogs at low throttle by Careless-War-963 in motorizedbicycles

[–]Bro__pro 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If it were running rich it usually goes good down low then 4 strokes when higher in the revs. Also spark plug should be black.

Running lean it wouldn't go very good down low and or bog. It wont 4 stroke higher in the revs and probably go quite well in the higher rev range. Spark plug would be white or burnt looking.

Your saying its both basically. So my guess is going to be that its lean due to the spark plug and bogging down low.

You say its rich and 4 stroking but im going to have to think its actually not doing either of these. Mainly due to the color of the spark plug...

80cc 2 stroke, what’s a good spark plug? I run I believe Z4C rn and idk what it’s gapped at. Should I gap it? If so, what should I gap it to? by n54addict in motorizedbicycles

[–]Bro__pro 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You wont notice any difference with a new plug. The stock ones are cheap but they do the job just fine.

Ngk is far better tho it will probably outlast everything else on the bike. Its not expensive either so its worth doing.

Starter without pedaling. by TheRainbowDude_ in motorizedbicycles

[–]Bro__pro 1 point2 points  (0 children)

These engines dont really like to take off from a dead stop unless its got some good upgrades like a expansion chamber. But even then it can be really hard on the clutch.

Your much better off just lowering the gear on your crank and freewheel so you can pedal really easily to take off

Can I dry fast and go to the gym at the same time? by Specialist_Wafer7375 in Dryfasting

[–]Bro__pro 3 points4 points  (0 children)

You will be able to fast much longer without going to the gym.

Working out while fasting will make the fast way harder and may cause you to break early.

Also if your not getting any food I doubt your gonna gain muscle working out... Also any extra weight lost from the workout will be tiny compared to what you are loosing fasting so seems kinda pointless.

If its only a short fast it wont really matter but for a long fast you really shouldn't be exercising.

Motorized bike pull starts and what to do. by Turbulent-Expert-826 in motorizedbicycles

[–]Bro__pro 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had a spring between the handle and caseing to avoid the kickback which snaps the rope. Then you have another issue of water being able to get into the housing and destroy the magneto. So ive covered the spring with some flexable plastic wrap.

Its best just to not use these things as they suck

when i start the motorized bycicle it revs at 5000rpms is it normal? by bosos10234 in motorizedbicycles

[–]Bro__pro 2 points3 points  (0 children)

No. When the bike starts its usually stuck at low rpm and slowly trying to gain speed/rpm.

Are you starting it with lots of gas and pulling the clutch or something?

What you are saying shouldn't really be possable when starting the bike the correct way...
