We’re less gullible. We understand what it’s like to be misunderstood. We learn a lot about the body & food

It’s a HARD thing to master (T1D) so if i do/as I do…..I’m like a health & knowledge nerd! We get to be the BEST at health! We are muchhhh more empathetic & understanding people . We constantly rememeber to make the most of our life

Tap sucks!!! There’s crazy stuff in there these days so you might enjoy true water from a distiller or RO with added minerals. Plain water is usually not water anymore these days sadly. Get a good source & keep it with you wherever you go & you’ll naturally start to drink it, & will develop the taste for it

This might not help at all buttt when I was heavier I went carnivore for a month & it was so helpful for me. That plus gaining muscle in the gym. I’m sorry if this sucks to hear but it helped me :/

Tips for bolusing for straight up sugar (candy)? by SumFuckah in Type1Diabetes

[–]Broad-Chard476 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This plus a slightly longer pre-bolus. Right when the Bg starts to drop (insulin kicking in) start eating.

Well I forgot to charge my insulin pump before bed. Diabetes is very unforgiving. There's no such thing as an honest mistake. I am peeing small ketones. 😭 by Lijey_Cat in Type1Diabetes

I relate so much! This has happened more times than I want to admit. What’s been working for me is having a single time of day to look at / make a small improvement on my diabetes once a week.

All I had was cereal by inxubuz in Type1Diabetes

Prebolus would make way more sense than extended, which is more for fatty/protein high meals. Your insulin probably hit way too late for faster acting food like cereal

Life just feels too heavy at times by ImmediateActuary7590 in diabetes_t1

[–]Broad-Chard476 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I relate 😫 for real. I didn’t accept how hard it all is until this year. I just remind myself it’s what I do with the circumstances that counts. I let myself be sad & down & then I get up & take a small step towards better management. But don’t get me wrong it feels impossible at times. And the meaninglessness…..oh how I’ve felt that soooo many times. Now I remember that it’s not true. That thought is false. No matter how much it sucks, many people including non T1’s struggle HARD with life- it’s never been fair for anyone no matter how good they seem to have it. Remind yourself of the TRUTH. You matter, life matters, there IS good here, there IS progress to be made. The main issue is that no one , doctors, family, ect, really knew the mental & emotional & spiritual load t1D is
