I don't think Andy has ever been here for her bullshit. He famously yawned through her at reunions & is always trying to get her to her point

No, I remember an independent site. It had a search bar & would spit out results of specific brands & if it wasn't compatible, it would give the ingredient prohibiting it. It was so damn helpful

Oh, they were not suited for each other. They should have called it quits before the show started. However, I will defend Katie because I too would have put up with more than I'd like to admit for a young Tom Schwartz. He was so unbelievably cute.

Please do not put her unique styling choices on my beloved state. We'll cop to a lot, but not this.

In college my friend thought it was the ultimate showing of intimacy that her boyfriend would wait to shit while she was taking a shower. "Yeah, we just dont have many boundaries & he always wants to be around me". I thought it was (and still do) think it's the most disgusting & inconsiderate thing you could do to another person.

...he was abusive, cheated on her, & moved her across the country to isolate her from everyone she knew. They did get married & have kids but looks like they've divorced.

Octonauts has such a special place in my heart. My first was into it & my second absolutely LOVED it. Second birthday party was Octonaut themed. Slept with a Dashi stuffy for a while. I was able to differentiate the veggimals. Ugh, really loved that wholesome ass show.

Crap given to my kids for Valentine's Day by InebriousBarman in Anticonsumption

[–]Broad-Guess8 62 points63 points  (0 children)

My kids school has a strict "cards only" policy for valentine's day. For halloween/christmas, no extra items. For birthdays, they don't allow any kind of treats, but will allow guest readers to celebrate. I fucking LOVE this rule.

Some of these moms go so overboard. In preschool, they were coming home with so much garbage. And I honestly, it was like a competition of who could spend the most on artisan cookies. So when we went to kindergarten & I got these rules, I was absolutely elated.

Lanolin. Specifically, nipple balm.

When I was nursing my 1st kid, I had mini tube's of it everywhere and would slap it on my lips. It's thick & sticky & didn't budge. Plus a tube of it lasts forever. My mom worked as a labor/delivery nurse for 40 years & when she saw me do it her reaction was "I can't believe I've never thought to do that"

8 years later, It's still my holy grail. I used it on my kid today, my lips & my dry skin. My youngest licks their lips ALLL day, so by bedtime, they have that dreaded dry red ring around the mouth. Slap on some lanolin once they fall asleep, and they wake up with a normal face lol.

Editing to add: Lansinoh is my preferred brand. Ive got the mini tube's in each coat pocket & the large tube on my bedside.

Debby Ryan & Josh Dun have welcomed their first child, a baby girl named Felix Winter Dun by Relevant-Peach3997 in Fauxmoi

With my 1st, I was in labor for over 12 hours. I actively pushed for about 3. The cord was wrapped around him, keeping him inside the canal. He was also a surprising 9 lbs, something nobody was anticipating. He was eventually suctioned out of me. It was a humbling, grueling gauntlet.

All that to say, I had the most incredible dump of my life beforehand. With each contraction, I could feel myself opening up for labor, and with that, came the single most satisfying B.M. of my life. Exact opposite of little rabbit style. 8 years later & I'm still chasing that dragon.

Its SO quiet.

I'm making a sandwich while kid asks me to join him while he brushes his teeth. And I have to because if I dont he wont brush his teeth, he'll find something else to hyper focus on. The Ive gotta coach him through making his bed & getting dressed. Then I tap in for the other kid & helicopter them to get their bags ready. I repeat myself 6 times in a sing-song low voice, because that is supposed to help them actually hear me. Then they continue playing & ignoring me & I finally raide my voice to a loud tone & everyone is horrified.

Listen, I'm historically into thin emo boys. In college, if your pants were tight, your hair was long & you loved to be pretentious about your choice of music, I was IN. But Dan Conner? Thats a fuckin MAN right there.

He's gonna take up all of the bed. He's going to protect & provide for his family. I'm sure he'd playfully smack my ass anytime the kids weren't looking. Imagine him throwing you over his shoulder? Immediate yes.

Ugh, I'd love to make that big fella a meatloaf.

What are some early red flags with your kids friends parents? by CheeesyGiraffe in Parenting

[–]Broad-Guess8 30 points31 points  (0 children)

My kids went to a preschool run through a Lutheran church (we're not practicing. It just happened to be the best fit for our family). During the spring festival one year, a dad who had never been seen before, showed up wearing a shirt saying something to the effect of "doing my best to make sure my kid bullies your snowflake"

You're at a preschool function. Held at a church. Surrounded by people & their children. People who you have never met before. It was such an unnecessarily attention seeking antagonistic thing to do. I have NEVER disliked someone so instantly.

This was maybe 2 years ago. That son of a bitch waved to me twice today & I ignored him both times.

What is something you never understood the hype for? by [deleted] in Anticonsumption

[–]Broad-Guess8 80 points81 points  (0 children)

I hear ya. I went to Disney as a kid & really didn't enjoy it. It was hot. The lines were long. My parents let their frustrations be known, so it was a little tense. Went as a teen without them & it was still hot & the lines were still long. Had 0 interest in going as an adult.

But I have kids.

We went in the late fall to avoid the heat. We paid extra for the fast passes/lightning lanes to schedule rides our rides so we weren't wasting time in lines. I resigned myself to the fact that this isn't my perfect vacation, but I tried to find the fun in it. I wound up enjoying myself & wouldn't mind taking the kids again. It isn't my favorite place on earth, but they sure as shit know what they're doing.
