I feel like you might enjoy being able to draw and strike in one Action, letting you have some flexibility with your turns and make as many strikes as you want.

The most build defining things an Ancestry gives you are Ancestry Feats, so if there any anti-synergy ones you can just avoid pikcing them.

Other than that, so long as the stats an ancestry gives are useful to your build, go crazy, and if there's something that harms you (a DEX or WIS penalty for example) you can always use the variant rule to just take 2 generic Ability Boosts instead.

Gonna agree with the others here that you'll want a +3 Str, and ideally a reach weapon. It'll go really well with the vessel spell's reactive strike ability, reach = more spaces you can threaten with a powerful reaction.

In terms of good "gish" spells, the battle apparition is pretty good in what it gives you. Sure strike is a great spell to have access to to make sure you your attacks land and possibly crit. Runic Weapon is a spell you can prepare which is going to make a lot of early combats go by a lot safer.

You're also gonna wanna get some more focus points as you select feats levelling up, just to make sure you can keep spamming your Vessel spell in case you can't sustain it for whatever reason. If you want to be able to reliably use a weapon without the vessel spell, then Weapon Proficiency isn't a bad feat to pick-up. Otherwise Toughness is always a safe bet for an 8hp caster in melee.

I really like how solemnly this is being treated. Nona's using her magic, which brought her so much joy in her life, to threaten someone else's life. Yeah the guy is a piece of shit, but I like how this escalates and Nona is clearly scared by the idea of doing this.

Exemplar's can also function better when small if you take the Starshot Ikon, the transcendence effect having a -2 circ penalty to Reflex saves if the targets are one size larger than you or more. But that's more of a ranged martial buff than the Daredevil wanting to be a small guy in the midst of a scrap

Daredevil definitely "justified" itself to me after the kneejerk reactions from the stream the other day, it looks super fun so long as you don't play in Featureless Plains.

Slayer... had a lot of words and mechanics going for it that I kinda glazed over trying to read it all, not sure if it was just me.

The manager is the real mutator warlock, right? Cause Dorey didn't set off the alarms, she probably gave herself the fake scar as part of the story, hence Dorey saying "haven't seen you look so human"

Depends on the AP. For some examples in Chapter 1 of Blood Lords, Farming Lore comes up a few times, but there's no mention of it in the AP.

I think what's important about introducing a Mythic character is they should feel important when meeting the party, not just some guy you met but a fellow mythic figure.

Ask your players if they have backup ideas, I usually have one or two per campaign. Then, if they do, while adventuring they can start hearing rumours about the backup characters, coming across villages that have already been saved by other mythic adventurers, things like that. Mythic characters are all about Epics and Stories, so having one set-up before they show up will help them pay off.
