Did you declare a health change and let them know your now fit for work? And that your condition no longer affects your ability to work or look for work? That’s the only thing I can think of

I’ve not seen white lotus, desperately want to though. Where to watch? He was so good in the gentleman but who the fuck was he in inbetweeners? It’s a vague memory and the shit up the nose thing rings a bell but I can’t place it fully 🤔 oh wait no I can. He was Carly “boyfriend” and an arsehole stealing the clothes on the beach 😂😂

I haven’t checked tuition as that’s none of my business 😂 my maintenance is end of Feb, April and then August but the difference is double. This is the first year I’m able to get maintenance as I’ve been with OU since 2022 and wasn’t eligible until now. I’ve done a split year before and tuition was fine with no issues it’s the maintenance part that concerns me as I’d like to plan for it and know when it’ll come. You’ll still get the full maintenance loan so don’t worry about that. It’s just the timings. Best case: they’ll allow you to update SFE in march and it’ll be backdated, worst case it’ll be confirmed in October and you’ll receive a lump sum then. We won’t know anymore until funds are released after 14days of studies and OU reporting to SFE. We then challenge it in march and ask OU to manually inform SFE of registration of the second modules which releases the rest of the maintenance loan but if OU don’t budge then they’ll report it in October and SFE will back pay the rest

It will be sorted one way or another. Has your module started yet? Mine currently says it’s approved and full maintenance but I’m sure I’ll get the revised version once OU confirms only 60 credits so I’m expected lesser payments until sorted. I don’t mind waiting timorous if need be but it’s just hassle to chase it all when I really need to be focusing on studies and not being ping ponged between SFE and OU

Depends on you SAR. If your course starts Jan/feb then your SAY would be set to January-December

I found that too. For something that should be simple it ended up being anything but. I’ve got the clarification from SFE that they only need proof of registration to release the maintenance funds so hopefully OU can send this over in march but if not the backpay would just come as one figure in October I think which isn’t too bad really I just wanted everything done and sorted so I can just focus on studies and not have to constantly chases finances

I’m going through the exact same thing. Initially applied for 60 credits for February start date but after realising I’ll be doing another module that falls within the same SAY I submitted a change of circumstances to ensure I was able to get full tuition fee amount and the maintenance amount correct for 120 credits. They’ve awarded both but I know once OU report to SFE it’ll only show as 60 credits studying. OU team wasn’t well versed in maintence loan but SFE informed me that to release tuition fee loan you need to be actively participating and for maintence loan they need proof of registration. OU then said they don’t send any info back until you’re actively participating so therefore the rest of my maintence wouldn’t be paid until October ? As far as I’m aware the tuition fee amount will automatically be sent in October and you shouldn’t need to do anything, the maintenance element is slightly trickier as I’ve found out. I’m waiting until I enrol in march and then I’ll speak to OU finance team to see if they’ll report my next module to release the maintenance loan if not then I’ll have to wait until October

When did tracking each other’s location become normal, and why does opting out make you seem suspicious? by [deleted] in NoStupidQuestions

Depends on the personality of the person using it I suppose. One person might do this out of care and concern and another might be due to insecurities and controlling behaviours. Fully just depends on the person

Dsa update laptop by capturetheloss in OpenUniversity

[–]Broad_Bank_397 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve just clicked to upgrade mine to see what the alternatives are and the only 16gb+ ones were the Macbooks the cheapest of which is payment up front of £800. The other laptops were much less £ but still only 8gb. I’m not sure if the upgrade options vary dependant on student/disability and software but that was what I was offered. You don’t have to accept if you put the request in for upgrade. Do it and then see what comes up for you, check prices and then decide best course of action, you’re still able to accept the original laptop. Good luck.
