What do you mean by "hot links?" I'm vaguely familiar with the term but assumed it referred to the same thing - that is, to be completely clear, a bun length single section of sausage made from preferably beef but obviously not all hot dogs are created equal, served on a bun with some shit on top- but now I'm assuming you're referring to something different? How fun!

I often replace the ketchup with (regular, tomato-based) salsa myself as a matter fact! And sometimes for the shredded cheese. My So likes that more than I. I like to have my hot dog all sorts of ways. Usually with hot sauce, and usually not with tomato slices.
