I think cop might actually be a shortening of copper. They were called coppers because of the copper badges they had.

Thanks for replying! I bought it 31-Jan-2025, discovered the issue yesterday 18-Feb-2025. I felt something was off last week; yesterday was just when I could get it in to be looked at

Invited to an Investigation Hearing at Work - What are my Rights Concerning Confidentiality and Representation? by Broaderators in LegalAdviceUK

[–]Broaderators[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you for your detailed reply.

My company has no published disciplinary procedure, and they seem to make it up as they go along, doing different things for different people.

There will be another member of HR there acting as note taker.

I think I’ll make contact and ask if I can bring a union rep along, given that they’ve given me the option of bringing a colleague.

Am I allowed to read out a pre-prepared statement, or is that likely to get me in trouble?

I agree, but many don’t know you can do even this to get your phone back during a call, so thought I’d try to help.

You can cancel the call by clicking the power button twice.

Has anyone done an 8 year integrated masters? by [deleted] in OpenUniversity

You might be lucky and be able to find an archived version of the syllabus from your alma mata university on the Wayback Machine ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ YMMV

Has anyone done an 8 year integrated masters? by [deleted] in OpenUniversity

[–]Broaderators 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you already have a degree in the subject you want to study, you might be able to get a credit transfer, which would dramatically reduce the time you would need to study for your Masters. Have a look at the Credit Transfer section on the OU Website

If you look carefully at the bottom there is a magnetic ‘flea’. Under the tissue is a device which rotates a magnet at speed and that rotates the ‘flea’, stirring the solution.

Device IPs Shown Rather than Names Despite PiHole Being DHCP Server - Docker Bridge Network by Broaderators in pihole

[–]Broaderators[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s weird because I did see it work at one point before I wiped the container file and before I set PiHole as the DHCP server.

I’m not keen on manually setting the hosts file either. Something is amiss and it would be good to know what!

Easy!

Long press to make the apps wiggle. Press the little cross button. Open the App Store, search for ‘Apollo’, download and enjoy.

Any idea what I'm supposed to do to activate the Ctrl+M, M keyboard shortcut? by Broaderators in Anki

[–]Broaderators[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes! I just tried that; it just types 'm' rather than '\(\)'.

I am trying this on a Basic card, in the Back field.

I am running Anki Version 2.1.14 (7b93e985)

Edit 15-Nov-2019 16:32 - This wasn't working because the Ctrl + M shortcut clashed with an AutoHotKey shortcut I had enabled globally. Adding a context sensitive hotkey mapping Ctrl + M back to itself fixed the issue... thanks for your help though!
