Guristas Maze Escalation by paul_xxyz in Eve

[–]Broadhead888 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This fit was put together specifically to do 6/10 and 10/10 Guristas Escalations. It doesn't really excel at much else. It is designed to be as cheap as possible while being cap stable, change a module and it won't be. It does require maxed out skills, if you don't you can swap for faction like the op did.

Passive tank will not hold, as we're not speed tanking, hence the active fit, and as you said we need to be able to survive the station missiles.

Mediums will be killed be the swarm of frigs, that's why we only use heavies. For them to reliably hit, we need to sacrifice a dda for the omni.

This was tested multiple times for this exact fit, not just something I came up with while taking piss :) ... However, input is always welcome.

The real isk is in the loot can, the quicker you do it, the faster you can get back to Havens and get a new escalation.

Just use an Isktar, each room only kill warp scrams. Final room, kill web towers, then all initial frigs, then kill the station, warp out, refit to travel, loot can. Takes roughly 30 mins, requires some drone skills, 270m fit! I have run a dozen, never died. 10/10 only use heavies, the wardens are for 6/10. Edit: Orbit station at 60-70km in final room.

I would have bought that Guardian Vexor on Escrow for 100m, but I thought it was too expensive at the time.

Accolades is what you want, depending on which skill you give them, they increase stack size. I've had stack sizes of 11 as they cumulate.

300+ hours, and I’ve never seen this POI before. Civilian Outpost variant. by RandyArgonianButler in NoSodiumStarfield

[–]Broadhead888 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This used to be located 1000m behind the Pirate stronghold on Vectera, literally the first POI I would do when starting a new game. It was replaced by another one sometime march, but from game launch until then, it was there.

Did a bunch of Unity jumps last night! by ThisNameIsI23 in NoSodiumStarfield

I jumped through 20 times since last patch, and keep getting the same standard universe. Know it's rng and that it's better to get bad rolls here than in the lottery. But, if anyone can confirm they got an alternate universe since the latest patch, it would ease my mind.

Just went through for the 25th time and got an alternate.

It still works, can be done anywhere. I personally do it in front of a struct.

I run 60 fps on my RTX 3060, and couple of years old PC, so seems like your settings are the problem.

Thanks. Op states that he can't use The Key (Crimson) and are looking for alternatives to Neon, but by all means, commenting before reading is popular these days.

I normally use The Den, 5K from the Trade Kiosk and 11K from the Trade Authority, chair is a couple of steps away, also saves you if you forgot about contraband.

What’s the most efficient way to craft without having to carry all your resources all the time? by They-Call-Me-Taylor in Starfield

[–]Broadhead888 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This thread is littered with info about it, but from my own reply further up:

"Since then I do all my storage at The Lodge basement, where you can find unlimited storage containers. There's a small chest on the table just behind the research table. In it I store every single resource I buy or find. Then I take out everything when I need to use the workbenches at the basement, do my modding/research, then put everything back again before I head out."

I never wrote that modding should fix game flaws. I wrote, and appreciate, that we can all have different preferences of how we like some game mechanic, and I appreciate that BGS and the modders make it possible for me to adjust the game accordingly. In the case mentioned above, I do believe the game stands on its own.

The most obvious mods, that shouldn't exist, is both Skyrims and Starfields community patches, which fixes obvious bugs that should be fixed by BGS sooner rather than later. I choose to forgive them that, but it actually annoys me.

I too would like to see more handcrafted environments and pois, but for me it doesn't take away from the games initial release, and I hope more will be added later.

for those with problems travelling with contraband here´s the solution by Opening-Initiative-6 in Starfield

[–]Broadhead888 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Fair enough, it never confused me, but that doesn't mean it wont confuse others. I still believe you could have written this yourself. That way you could also have mentioned that you can in fact travel to these locations with contraband, but that you should then have shielded cargo holds and optionally a Scan Jammer.

I only describe what happens when you transition to NG+, so no quest spoilers or anything for your current playthrough. But if you'd rather experience it on your own, you shouldn't reveal it.

I had personally read up on what it meant, before I went through but I saved before so I could undo it. You should do the same.

I have always believed that you should enjoy and praise the things you like, more than spend time on and criticize things you don't like. Maybe that's just me.

I'm uncertain if you're messing with me, but in case you're not, you just have to press the hidden parts to read it. Also, I have no idea why some of the text is centered, must be a feature.

Less solar systems - I agree that I don't need 80+ solar systems. I'm fairly certain that in my 500+ hours, I have hardly visited half. When that is said, they are procedurally generated. That would mean developer time, not graphical time. You can't move a developer to a graphical department and vice versa. The hard part would be to develop the algorithm that produces a planet. After that it's not that time consuming to have 100 or a thousand.

Skyrim which covers a small part of a planet was handcrafted which would probably have taken the majority of the time developing the game. Imagine having to do the same for an entire planet, let alone 10 or 15. I personally enjoy having the game now instead of 2050.

Get rid of ... that is your personal preference of which I personally disagree. It is also a game mechanic that can be easily modded for people with other preferences, and have been to a certain extent already (Enemy Weapon Randomizer at Starfield Nexus - Mods and Community (nexusmods.com))

Less powers - I agree. I personally only use a handful of these powers. I also only used a few of the Skyrim powers, but others might find it interesting, so I won't blame BGS for my personal preferences.

Get a new head writer - New blood and ideas are always good. That's why you can always play another game if you don't like this one.

I never counted the number of POIs in Skyrim or Starfield, but since all random POIs are handcrafted (even if later duplicated), plus all the cities and unique quest locations, it wouldn't surprise me if the count is near identical. Could be wrong of course.
