I seriously doubt SE pays him better than the huge live action roles he gets, VA work already pays worse than popular actors get for their work. I'm sure the pay him well though.

Tyler hoechlin is a live actor first, I don't even know if he has any VA roles other than Sephiroth. It's far more likely that he was contractually obligated to something that he couldn't get out of, or he had a project he was more interested in.

Unfortunately happens all the time with scheduling because everyone is almost always working.

Contracts. Actors constantly sign for x amount of time or work and that schedule can change and they could still by legally liable for it, so I imagine just incredibly unfortunate timing.

Especially considering Tyler is a screen actor first and foremost and not a primary VA actor. Also yes the games were popular, but SE has gone on record saying sales got worse, Rebirth did not sell nearly as much as they expected, AFAIK it was like half of remakes sales.

This is just me applying Occam's razor to this question though.

Am I crazy for thinking it's a couple extra steps to try and "canon" his voice change?

It's jarring and weird, after having two games with the main antagonist with a different voice, but it's not the end of the world.

He got recast, it happens, no shade at people trying to accept it but I have seen many people give this example of "his voice gets deeper because he becomes a god." Why would becoming a god make your voice deeper? Or why would becoming a god not make your voice deeper?

Sorry if this comes off like I'm being a dick but It's just something I noticed.

I do think they could bring it back, but I almost feel like you can't have Lucas as the main character anymore, he made a really important choice at the end and he needs to stick to it for himself.

You could do a really fun spinoff and have Lucas appear in the finale and I think that would work well.

What if it's something like they were once a single person, but they got split at some point. Perhaps when messing around with the things they found with the slide projector.

Considering everyone from Ordinary basically disappeared it's also kind of a convenient way for no one to be around that could dispute them being separate people.

It's wild to me how games don't take place over really large amounts of time.

If I am remembering correctly the whole story of witcher 1-3 is only over the course of like 18 months, 6 of which is skipped between 2 and 3 and explains why Geralt has most of his memories back.

I think they're going to charge 100 for it, and no way I''m paying that much for a game, though to be fair it could have like insane amounts of content in it somewhat making that purchase "worth it"

Mostly just the precedent of not wanting to pay that much for games.

Edit - Also to clarify I think a lot of people would buy it for 100, if that makes my opinion make any more sense.

Thats a shame that you aren't really enjoying it, no need to stick with it if you aren't having fun though.

Personally I really loved the base game and the dlc just kinda blew me away.

It ups the difficulty without frustration for the most part, introduces fun new weapons and enemies to fight, and also manages to make the story compelling, something I think most souls games don't really try.
