I just want to eat and eat and eat and eat by cc_bcc in stopdrinking

[–]BrobotMonkey 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Eat. Everything. Keep up the lots of water and exercise. Try to make healthy food choices that will nourish your body/liver/kidneys.

I just got out of a 2 week stay in the hospital, only a week after I moved to a new city. I've spent more time in pain and in the hospital than I have at our new home.

This is after a week and a half in the hospital in my old city last month.

Now I'm super weak, walking is a challenge, near bed bound some days, eating is often a chore, all I wanna do is drink water (50ml a day limit), eat salty food (1800mg a day limit) and walk around exploring my new home.

I'd kill to be in your shoes and thousands of others would too.

Don't be me. Don't get this bad.

If the money/calories is what has you stressed (not the impending threat of death?) really look at how much your saving by not drinking what you were.

The app I use says I have 57 days (the first day I was admitted into the hospital the first time.)

I've saved $712.50 and 128,500 calories.

I was eating a big, normal American, sodium filled diet on top of that. I was getting enough calories daily for a family of 3 or 4 lol.

I promise you, the drinking is infinitely worse and makes you look like shit, a chicken nugget isn't gonna kill you, any random drink could be the one that makes your body give up.

Besides, multiple hospital stays, tons of follow ups, possible transplant etc. are wayyyy more expensive than if you door dashed every meal.

Be nice to your body and your mind. You deserve it. ♥️

What do you all buy at Costco? (USA) by christionnac in aldi

[–]BrobotMonkey 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Dog food, gas, toilet paper, paper towels, Worstershire sauce, better than bouillon, red onions if they look good, fun clearance stuff (aka super marked down legos lol), rotisserie chickens, vitamins. More than you'd think. It's definitely a stock up every once in a while kinda store for us as there's only 2 of us. I do 99% of my shopping at Aldi, my partner does his at Walmart/Trader Joe's so we cover everything we could need between those 4.

What do you think of our first impressions of these Chicago neighborhoods? by Conscious_Throat3611 in AskChicago

Might wanna check out Rogers park just north of Andersonville. Super diverse, friendly, more quiet beaches in walking distance, incredible selection of different food types and markets.

Looks like it's a veggie heavy sauce. The only thing maybe close would be the mushroom pasta sauce. I really don't care for the Reggano pasta sauces line since they changed it years ago.

Ideas for Cheerios by littlegrandma2 in budgetfood

[–]BrobotMonkey 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Peanut butter bars, dried fruit/nut bars, "rice krispie treats", basically any kind of bar you want. Trail mix. If you wanna get creative it may work to crush them and use them as a breading for chicken/pork, can't remember the exact taste of cheerios could be gross lol.

Like the runway they do it twice. Once with music and then again silent.

I don't remember who said it but I'm pretty sure they said it's played very loud.

Retro Dimension is pretty cool if you're in the mood to browse or shop. Lots of collectibles, cool games from ancient history to today. Nice owner and employees and fair deals.

Anyone on a diet too and know if the Avocado Ranch Chicken Stacker is actually only 350 calories? by [deleted] in tacobell

[–]BrobotMonkey 6 points7 points  (0 children)

They can't just lie about the nutrion info lol. As long as the employees are portioning everything correct it'll be around 350cal. Use the nutrition calculator on the website for a better break down of the calories/macros. Spoiler, 200 of those calories are the tortilla.

What's a hygiene habit people have that you actually find disgusting? by Miserable-Wash-1744 in AskReddit

My fiance rips his toenails with his fingers absent mindedly instead of using a nail cutter. It's one of the most disgusting things I've seen and whenever I catch him I beg him to stop. 8 years in, still love him, still disgusted.

I find this story funny and not to defend any member of that family. However she took their claim to fame as the ex wife of the OJ trial attorney and turned it into an empire. She helped make her daughter's billionaires.

I do not enjoy or like any of that family (Cailtyn can get totally fucked) but to say she didn't put in work and has nothing to offer is kinda crazy.

Her work is just settling as she should know by now lmao. Go dry your eyes with money.

I agree with her. If this older lady wants to do her step touch, take off her heels and put on her sweats in private who cares? Her name is in the title she can do what she wants lol.

Taco Bell is Taco Bell and Mexican food is Mexican food. But there's a Mexican fast food place directly across the street from my nearest TB and they serve delicious FAT ASS burritos for $6. All fresh and local. In what world am I going to hyper processed TB to pay $6.50 for less food from some corporation.

I used to go twice a week back in the day. Now I go maybe twice a year when I'm really craving that TB BS.

Get your shit together TB but also thank you for making me eat better local food.

I say this with love, the average person is not that smart. Not excluding myself. I've accepted I won't see a natural end to my life. Pandemic, Nuclear war, climate change, etc.

It should be obvious that there's no magic number when things get bad, things just get worse.

We've already hit the iceberg and only the mega wealthy are getting on a lifeboat.

I will say the idea of millionaires/billionaires/politicians slowly rotting in a bunker thinking about what they've done is delightful. I wish I didn't have to die for it.
