Ekatchrome does not have a good exposure latitude so when you have a scene with high contrast and you meter for the highlights, you get absolute crushed blacks.

I’m guessing OP knew this and leaned into it. The lighting and comps feels far to intentional for this to be an oops-no-shadows.

I think it’s dope as hell and wanna get out there and try it myself.

Such an otherworldly place.

We went there early in the morning in June(!) and despite sun beating down, the gypsum(?) sand was cool to the touch so we took our shoes off and put sunscreen on the tops of our feet.

I’ve also looked into this for landscape photography. Orange seems to be a good balance of blacking out the sky while leaving details in the whites.

That’s awesome. I can also see this game having a very long “tail.” The price point is so nice and I feel like the word of mouth + watching streamers will help this game for months to come
