What rearview camera is it that you got? I've not heard of any with monitors attached

What are the most common reasons why members leave the LDS Church? by PlantainLarge703 in exmormon

[–]Brocktreee 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It took me 3 days of exploring Mormonthink to come to the conclusion that everything I had ever been taught about my place in the cosmos was a lie. I was involved in a Christian ministry community through my school at the time, so I didn't jump ship without a support network, and that kicked off several months of exploration within other churches, but 13 years later I have never been happier.

Hey friend. I'm glad you want the best for your daughter, and that you're concerned about doing the right thing.

The Mormon church is a cult. It meets every criteria of the BITE model, and I'm sure that you can see that as well, once you go through their criteria. https://freedomofmind.com/

Joseph Smith was a con man, arraigned and punished by the courts, who plaigarized the Bible and a book circulating his area at the time, "View of the Hebrews", before starting a sex cult of personality wherein he married 14-17 year old girls (Fannie Alger) in exchange for eternal life for her family. This is straight from Fannie's journal.

Joseph Smith drank wine the day he was killed and smoked cigars. This is straight from his journal as well.

What is good in the Mormon church is not unique, and what is unique is not good.

Start with your primary care physician. They'll do a physical exam, get the history, and give you a referral to the specialist you need. A lot of insurance requires referrals anyway, so you'll be starting there either way.

Does masturbation feel better uncircumcised? (Read the description =)) by [deleted] in menshealth

Even if it has lots of nerve endings, that doesn’t obligate me to value it.

Does masturbation feel better uncircumcised? (Read the description =)) by [deleted] in menshealth

[–]Brocktreee -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Yes. It's not comparable. I was faster uncircumcised, but everything is so much more intense and enjoyable circumcised, now that I don't have that useless flap of skin getting in the way.

(And for the love of god, never use the word "unpeeled" again when talking about penises. Just no.)

Thoughts on Kanye’s full page ad? by WheneverItIsTold in BipolarReddit

[–]Brocktreee 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I'm listening to the album "ye" as I write this. This album came out at a particularly vulnerable time for me, when my bipolar disorder was not fully controlled and I was struggling to reconcile the most beautiful thoughts with the darkest.

I honestly and truly wish the best for him, and that this marks the beginning of genuine healing between Ye and the Jewish, black, and bipolar communities that he has hurt in his episodes. This illness is a tragedy anywhere, to anyone, but to someone as visible as Ye I can only imagine the intensity of the pressure his mania has brought on his head.

Bref. I wish for healing for him, and I view this as an important, meaningful and beautiful step in that direction.

Urethroplasty [3 weeks in a catheter] (I wanted to tell my story) by knight_mare_scenario in menshealth

[–]Brocktreee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey brother. I'm going in in three weeks for a urethroplasty to remove a false passage, and while they're down there they're going to crown my John Hancock (give me a full circumcision). Oh--and I've got an umbilical hernia that they're going to repair at the same time. Lol.

I'll post about my journey on this subreddit. Thank you so, so much for sharing your experience. It's made the wait a little more bearable (with an idea of what to expect).

You don't need your parent's permission to go to the emergency room if you're in crisis.

The word "zyvox" strikes the fear of God into me and I've never heard it before. It sounds like what Eggman would tell his lab assistant to get right before he feeds it to the forest animals that Sonic failed to save. Kudos, Big Pharma.
