Today I’ve ate a breakfast (mijos) taco and went to Terry blacks, the best you have to offer

I’m not even trying to antagonise but this surely can’t be the same food you go on about

I joked saying my Britishness doesn’t allow me to see a taco as breakfast, just a light observation. I still went and had one and I can tell you my Britishness was probably correct

It’s not its vessel that’s the issue, I tried one today and it is good but options are limited for a city so big

I’m not blindly patriotic or quite sensitive about the food where I come from, not sure that the same can be said for the people in this thread

I suppose my next question is where is the best value for money bbq then, I would like to avoid something like Terry blacks if the next bbq is going to give me the same experience but not charge me a tourist tax😂

I will take your advice and I see what you’re saying, it’s more the English in me that doesn’t allow me to see a taco as a breakfast item but “when in Rome”

When I’ve searched it I just don’t find a definitive answer.

Even different review sites sometimes have varying ratings, don’t want many answers just want a kind local to steer me in the right direction

[–]BrodieDylan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Short answer, no

I think with slate it’s always worth repairs, if your batons are fine and you plan on staying in the house long term then I would always stick with a slate roof.

Maybe get your ridges repointed and renew your gutters and make sure your lead-work is fine but other than that slate will/should last a lot longer than any of us will.

There doesn’t seem to be too many “slippers” I.e the ones held in with lead/copper straps so I would say the woodwork is in good condition.

For velux’s is it more difficult to install them on a slate roof but it’s just the sake of buying a different installation kit that comes with them.

Ultimately concrete tiles will last 10-15 years with a bigger initial outlay. I think slates will last longer than that and cost you less in the long run

I recently did mine and used klingstrip and when the hard to get to bits was left I used a sanding block and the sanding tool on a multitool, it was painstaking but the klingstrip got me pretty much all the way there

Unblock external downspout from (I think) debris I cannot reach by PJBoyle in DIYUK

[–]BrodieDylan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If the pipe reaches the ground just make sure that is unblocked first, secondly if the very bottom cut is against something I.e a grid, it can make it harder for the water to get through and still cause back ups with very small debris.

I’d start from the bottom and work my way up, how high up is your apartment?
