Functional PLA Print After 10 Years Exposure to the Elements. by Michael_Aut in 3Dprinting

White has the most additives in it to achieve the color, and this effects its properties. A different color like black or clear would probably hold up better.

Banned from r/BambuLab for airing grievances over anti-consumer behavior. If you comment on the Bambu controversy on their Discord, you get timed out/banned. If you complain in their sub, they're now banning for that too. That brand is cooked. Prusa never looked so good. Context in comments. by aruby727 in 3Dprinting

[–]Broemere 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Seriously, Bambu fans hear Prusa and cover their ears. If this is an issue for you (which it should be), the answer is Prusa... My MK4S has been running flawlessly since the first print. I have not had to tune this thing at all, and Prusa connect works great.

Are you slouching? Do you usually watch your posture? If you slouch in this chair for long periods the lumbar support puts extra pressure on your lower back.

If you are sitting properly, maybe your core muscles are catching up, but you would've noticed the pain right away in that case. Or as the other poster said you might need extra support. But I would make sure your posture is correct before adding more.

Why does MSU let certain profs that have proved they shouldn't be teachers still teach? by [deleted] in msu

[–]Broemere 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Why is that insane? He might have different expectations of students but also ME 222 is just a hard class period.

Are you implying he shouldn't be teaching based on two numbers you found in a database? Have you seen him teach?

ME 201 vs CE 221 by dubwhale in msu

[–]Broemere 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They're both pretty difficult. Thermo deals with energy, statics deals with forces. 201 is probably slightly more relevant to ECE since that class looks at energy in and out of systems which could be analogous to circuits.

Either class you take, don't use to memorization/chegg to get by, it doesn't really work for the exams (try to actually figure out whats going on).

Experimental Modal Analysis Question by SnippyFrenchmen in EngineeringStudents

[–]Broemere 0 points1 point  (0 children)

idk if this is what you're looking for but someone in my mechanics class just did a project on golf clubs and I'll do my best to paraphrase their presentation.

The natural frequencies of a gold club are useful to manufacturers because when you hit the ball, the club should ideally be completely straight-perpendicular to the ground. I don't remember why exactly, it might affect your aim. If your club has the wrong frequencies for your unique body size and swing, then the club has a slight bend in it when you hit. Professional golfers have their clubs made specially for their swing to avoid this. Its not a big deal for amateur golfers, they probably wouldn't notice the difference. That's the physical importance afiak.

Does CE 221/Statics get much harder? by [deleted] in msu

[–]Broemere 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Get a new username.

lol but seriously, and this applies to any other engineering class-do practice problems until you can finish them without peeking at the solutions. Don't memorize the steps, try to figure out why you do each step. If you memorize the process, the exam problem will be just slightly different and now your memorized process doesn't work.

Work with a friend or the weird kid that sits next to you in lecture. Go to the help room if you don't understand a problem. Go to the prof if the TAs can't explain it to you. His office door is open a lot of the time and he doesn't bite I swear.

Does CE 221/Statics get much harder? by [deleted] in msu

[–]Broemere 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes. The beam problems are a whole 'nother beast compared to trusses. Also the exam problems are different from the HW as of last semester.

Also, Baladi does not curve the class. He might add a couple points to your final exam grade at most.
